Kylie drove into work and stood from her car. She sighed as she spotted tom and rose. She was finding things harder and harder to act as if there was nothing with him. She ran a hand through her hair and sighed as she placed a hand on top of her car "you okay?" Charley asked as Kylie looked to her and sighed "it's harder than I thought, you know..." "being the other woman? Watching him with her while your sit back act ask as if everything is fine, trust me I know" charley said as she hugged kylie "come on, we're going to be late" charley said as they walked into the school. Kylie walked down the hall towards the staffroom with charley and frowned as she looked to tom and josh who looked as if they were bounding.

Kylie sighed to herself knowing it was something she never had, a bond with her parent, her mum. Her mum was ill a lot, mentally ill and kylie didn’t have much of a relationship with her "you okay?" Charley asked as tom looked to kylie and smiled. Kylie knew she was falling in love with him. She looked to her phone as vibrated and sighed seeing it was her mum, she clicked the decline button and looked to charley "I'm fine" kylie said as they walked off to the staffroom. Kylie wanted nothing to do with her mum much as it sounded harsh, she had put up with her and her dramas for far too long, waterloo road was kylies fresh start.

Kylie sat in her classroom and looked as her phone rang again. She groaned and threw it into a drawer in her desk and sighed as tom walked in. She looked up at him as he smiled to her "are you okay?" He asked as he walked in and closed the door. She looked to him and smiled "I'm fine" she said as she was hit by the urge to cry. Tom looked to her and sighed "that’s not true, is it?" He asked as she looked to him and started to cry "kylie...hey" he said as he walked over to her and pulled her to her feet and into his chest and hugged her as she sobbed "it's okay, what happened?" He asked as she wiped away the tears and looked to him "my mum...she keeps calling me, I can't do it. My childhood wasn't easy with her, she would of these breakdowns and I had to look after her, I can't do ti again I never got to be a child. She always makes me miserable and I don’t like the person I am around her" kylie said as tom wiped her tears away and smiled to her "it's okay" he said as he placed a hand on her cheek as she leant in and brushed her lips against hers. "what's going on with us tom?" Kylie asked as tom looked to her and sighed "im not using you kylie, like you and about you a lot" tom said "but you want rose more?" Kylie asked as tom didn't say anything "i get it" kylie said as she walked off

"are you okay?" Charley asked Kylie who sat starring into space as she sat in the staffroom "I'm over my head charley, with tom, I don’t even know what I'm doing anymore" kylie said as charley looked to her and smiled "you need to end it kyls, as much as you like him, he's with rose and you're only going to get hurt and you know it. You’re my best friend and I don't want to see you hurt" Charley said as kylie sighed and nodded. Knowing that it was probably the best thing to do.

Kylie walked to tom's classroom and he looked to her and smiled "I'm sorry about before" he said as she sighed "I get it, but we need to be honest tom, you're not going to choose me, are you? It will always be rose" kylie said "that’s not true" tom said as he stood up and walked over to her. He took her hands in his and smiled to her "I like you kylie, I really do but it's complicated" tom said as she sighed and nodded "I know that there is something between us tom, I know but I think this best for everyone that we have some time apart I need to clear my head and I can't do this" kylie said as she kissed tom's cheek and walked off. Tom watched as she walked off. Feeling nothing but emptiness as he watched her leave.

Charley smiled to kylie as she walked into the car park later that day "so, are you okay?" Charley asked "no" kylie said trying not to cry "are you in love with him?" Charley asked as kylie nodded as she tried not to cry "come here" charley said as she pulled kylie into a hug as kylie cried into charley's shoulder. She hated this and hated that she loved him.
