Sure, it was the famous boy band every teenage girl I’ve encountered to was squealing about. They’re as exactly as what I saw from pictures, posters and video footages from televisions and the mass media.
From here I could spot their several tattoos, defined as ever when shone into the spotlight, and their hair, which somehow influences their genre more in an indie way.
Zayn, wearing a denim jacket with pocket holes which I sort of like, sat on the farthest left. I knew him, but I’m a hundred percent positive that it’s not mutual.
I heard his name from Dominique’s usual gossips a lot of times. One gossip that I could only recall from her about him was when she told me that he’s the fiancé of her second cousin’s bestfriend’s sister (those apostrophes, I’m not sure), who is proudly named Perrie Edwards.
Louis, the one with the corresponding headband along with his indie outfit, sat on Zayn’s left. I only knew him because I dislike him. There’s a certain characteristic about him that I don’t like, and I’m sure I knew it from the first time I saw him on an interview from the telly.
I don’t know what trait it was but surely I just shrugged it off and didn’t find myself the time to think about it.
On the middle sits Niall, the pride of Ireland, positioning his dark guitar on his lap. Of course I know him. My Dad comes from Ireland, so I also came from there too. I miss my motherland so much because I was busy preparing myself for the Swan Lake audition that I haven’t been able to visit my Grammy this last Christmas.
Anyways, Niall is very famous in our country; it was like he could win if he effortlessly runs as president. I even saw one video when a big muscular stranger greeted hello from a certain distance and Niall replied casually as if they really knew each other personally. In some reason without being pessimistic, I’m proud because that’s how friendly and welcoming our folks are.
But extraordinarily enough, he didn’t give me the same sort of appeal though. To me, he’s just… fine and normal, maybe with a bit of pop star vibe but yeah, you get my point.
On his left sits Liam, the one who looks a lot like David Beckham. I think I saw him once before. I could recall him sitting on the golden seats with his girlfriend in a play where I once starred as an extra when he was a bit younger, without the beard and the heavy tone of his arms.
It was even weirder seeing him much closer right now. When I was acting back then in that stage, I always trailed my sight on him. I’ve got to admit that I got infatuated to him but I think after that night I forgot all about him because I just didn’t get to know his name.
Then the person closest to my vision is Harry, the guy who looks like that has the fluffiest (and probably longest) hair. Having the meek spotlight on his side, we all know that he’s undeniably the most familiar of them all because of his reputation and his charming looks.
Just like Niall, my impression’s the same with him. Finer and finest.
I knew some specific facts about them: Zayn became #17 in GQ’s hottest men; Louis plays football; Harry dated Taylor Swift. Dominique made me learn all of those pointlessly as part of being an escalating actress.
I told her it wasn’t necessary but, as stubborn as she usually was, she still insisted. She even reasoned that who knows what happens to me in urgent situations? Don’t ask me what kind of emergency situations she’s talking about, I don’t know either.
Let’s cut to the chase. Tonight, I could observe that there is something obviously different from them, something unusual from what I used to see in their local appearances from their typical TV shows and interviews.
