A strong lightning illuminated the dark sky. The cold water drops hit the windows and roofs tough and loudly. Despite this, there was someone who was watching through the duskiness, an anonymous one, a murky one...

—Please, don't hurt me!—a woman's voice echo in an ally nearby. She was soaked and in panic. She seemed to be around her sixties.

—Don't think so, sweetheart—the crude man stared at her lewdly. His face was covered by the dark and his hoodie. He took a paring knife out of his pocket and pointed it at her—. Give me your money! —he threated. She refused argumenting that it's the only money she had. He growled: — Listen to me bitch! You gonna give me the money or else-!—he couldn't finish his sentence, he was pushed before the lady's feet, who was shivering with fear, to only be picked up like a rag and slammed against the wall, falling unconscious.

The dame looked up at her savior: A man... A man dressed all in black, and there was a dark, dangerous aura around him. She thought he was the devil until the moment he spoke in a raspy and deep voice:

      —Are you alright, ma'am?

She nodded without saying a word. He returned the gesture, turned around and walked off quickly. The woman was confused, her breathing has accelerated just like her mind. What did just happened? Her thoughts were interrupted by a police siren. From a moment to another she was surrounded by policemen whom attended her and her aggressor, without knowing that her dark angel was still watching over them on a roof waiting... Waiting for a better city: for a better Gotham City.

A week after the event, the Dark Knight patrolled around the same area again. The city was loud as always. Too many noises. Too many lights. Too many people. Too many lives to save... Too much pain...

Hours passed but they felt like days, even though this, the night watchman was still firm. He was about to leave when a sound hooked his attention: A piano. He turned around slowly to see through a crystal door the contour of a young lady... She seemed to be playing the piano because of her position. But her voice... So sweet, delicate and... So... Heavenly...

So close, no matter how far
Couldn't be much more from the heart
Forever trusting who we are
And nothing else matters

He tried to let it pass but he couldn't.

Never opened myself this way
Life is ours, we live it our way
All these words I don't just say
And nothing else matters

The wind whistled in his ears and made his long black fabric which was falling from his wide shoulders dance softly. Her voice stopped for a second... Like his heart.

Trust I seek and I find in you
Every day for us something new
Open mind for a different view

Bruce didn't know what happened to him: he couldn't breathe, his heart was beating exaggeratedly quick. He felt himself shaking. He even could feel his wildfire breaking out from his mouth. This couldn't be happening!

He took a few steps forward to listen better:

And nothing else matters...

She stopped. Bruce sighed. It was a sad, short, frustrated but loving sigh...Why would he do such a thing...? There was silence. It looked like she wasn't going to play or sing again. Expressionless he left the place but he was blue without knowing the reason why he felt so frustrated. He needed to know...
