Summer's POV
Asher and I have been going out for month ever since he ask me to be his girlfriend when we were on the roof. The first week was nice, then one night, I was late going to his house because I had to help Tomika with something, and he slapped me! Then, as the weeks went by, he started hitting me more and more to the point where I can barely walk. I just keep telling myself that I deserve it and he's only doing it because he loves me.
I limped into school and opened my locker. Someone tapped on my shoulder and I turned to see Asher.
"Hey Ash-".
"Did you get my cigarettes"?
"Yes, there in here".
He snatched the bag from me and looked inside.
"You actually did something right for once. I'll reward you after school".
"Thank you".
He patted my head and left. I closed my locker and jumped when I saw Freddie.
"Oh Freddie, you scared me".
"Sorry, wanna walk to class together"?
"Sure".
We were halfway there when he stopped.
"Why are you limping"?
"I, slammed my leg in a wall by accident", I lied.
"Hop on my back, so you don't have to walk that much".
I smiled and jumped on his back. He carried me to the classroom.
"Why are you on Freddie's back", Zack asked.
"Because my leg is killing me so he let me ride on his back".
I looked at Tomika's empty desk.
"Where's Tomika"?
"I don't know, she hasn't shown up yet".
I shrugged and sat down at my seat in the front. Tomika finally came in.
"Summer, can we talk in private"?
