Chapter 19

Summer's POV

It's been a week since Freddy and I broke up. We haven't talked to each other. I couldn't bring myself to. Every time he would try to talk to me, I ignored him. Asher has seriously changed. He isn't abusing me anymore and he's super nice now. But still. I still miss Freddy. I entered Asher's house and dropped the flowers that I had in my hand. Asher was on the couch with Kale and they were making out. They noticed me. Before they could say anything, I ran out crying.

At the ice cream shop

I went inside the parlor and saw Freddy waiting for me. I sat down on the opposite side of the booth.

"Hi Freddy".

"Hey".

"Listen, Asher is a really great guy".

"I know, I see you guys in the hallway".

"Yeah but I was wrong. I've liked you since third grade, and when I saw you and Kale making out in eighth grade, I was heartbroken. So I decided to date Asher to get back at you. Then I started to like him but deep inside, I still liked you and I knew I couldn't live without you".

"I'm sorry I made you feel bad".

"No, don't be. I'm glad I went through this because it showed me how much I care about you. And our break up made me realize that you're the one that I wanna be with for the rest of my life and nobody can change that, not even Asher".

"You know that now".

"Yeah".

"Is that all you wanna tell me"?

I ran over the things in my head.

"Yeah that's it".

I went over to his side.

"So, are we back together Fredbear"?

".....

No".

"No"?

"Summer, do you know how many girls hit on me everyday"?

"What"?

"Everyday, girls asked me out even when we were dating and I said no to every single one of them because I liked you the second we met in Pre-K. I never had to test my feelings for you. Kale and I never went out. She was comforting me because of my parent's divorce and Lily having cancer".

"I'm sorry".

We stayed silent holding hands for a moment.

"I forgive you. I forgive you for breaking up with me, I forgive you for dumping me for Asher who used to abuse you, I forgive you for ignoring me when I tried to talk to you, and I forgive you for the necklace, which I know Asher gave you while we were dating which is still around your neck. But the fact that you went out with him just to get back at me and you had to test your feelings for me, I can't forgive you for that".

I stood up angry.

"THAT'S NOT FAIR, YOU'RE THE ONE THAT NEVER TOLD ME"!

He got and hugged me. I calmed down to his touch. I savored it. He let go and I looked into his glistening green eyes.

"And you never asked", he said coldly.

He left me with my heart shattered in a million pieces.
