Chapter 12

Summer's POV

I had a broken rib. At least it was nothing serious. Then I realized something.

"Freddie, isn't your sister here"?

"Yeah".

"Can I see her"?

"Yeah, but she can't respond back, she's in a coma".

"Is that the text you got"?

He nodded. I could see he was tearing up. I hugged him. He hugged back.

At Lilly's room

I sat next to her bed.

"Hi Lilly, listen, you need to wake up for your family, they're a mess without you, I mean really a mess, Freddie has been crying for days-".

"Thanks Summer".

"Anyway, please wake up".

Freddie's POV

The monitor started going crazy. She started screaming.

"Lilly"?!

"NURSE, DOCTOR"!

"LILLY"!

The doctor and nurse rushed in. Zack had to drag me out of there. I struggled to get out of his grip but he successfully pulled me out of there. He tried to calm me down but I kept screaming for Lilly. Then I felt someone rubbing my back.

"It's okay".

I calmed down at Summer's touch.

3 hours later

Summer had her head on my lap asleep while Zack had his head on shoulder asleep and drooling. I don't really care, I just wanna know how my sister is doing. I felt movement on my lap.

"What time is it"?

"Eight thirty".

Zack started waking up.

"Sorry that I drooled on your shoulder".

"It's cool, you should probably get home so you won't miss your curfew".

"No, we're here for you bro".

"Same here, bro".

I smiled.

Summer's POV

"We might be here for awhile".

"I'll go get us some snacks", I offered.

I got up and went to the vending machine downstairs. I got 3 bags of chips, 5 candy bars, and 3 sodas. I know. It's a lot. I put them in my bag. I froze when I saw him. He smiled at me. A evil smile. I ran upstairs back to Zack and Freddie. Freddie was asleep on Zack's shoulder and Zack was on his phone. Probably texting his dad. I sat down next to Freddie and got out the snacks. Zack gave me a look.

"What", I asked innocently.

He rolled his eyes and smiled. I opened up the candy bar and took a bite. Then I dropped my candy bar. Asher. Zack was still on his phone not noticing him. He didn't come near us because of Freddie. He walked back downstairs. I snuggled up against Freddie and fell asleep on his chest.
