The Dragon Queen

Chapter 4

"We would take care of it,dont worry",Ran boldly said as she smile through the chief's curiosity.

"I admire your courage young heroine,but this guardian we were talking about is a different story.It slaughtered alot of warriors who trespassed the forest and greedly seek the power of the tome.",the chief insistedly said.

Ran suddenly took off her coat,showing her mark as a crusader which glows with lumonisity.The chief, his wife and the maid's eyes enlarged,returning to their senses of what they saw.

"T-The mark of the Dragon Queen!A Crusader!",yelled by the maid whose at the back side of the chief.

"I-It is unexpected for you to visit a lowly village of us o Crusader!Were very honorable!",the chief greatly uttered as his joy and suprisement were mixed altogether.

"It is my pleasure to be respected,however,my visit shall not be known by the others",Ran curiously said.She knew that if her visit to the village were reached on the towndsfolk,it will also reach the whole land,which may lead the village to destruction just like what happened to the Vendicatus Kingdom.

"As you wish,Crusader Ran",the chief said,nodding while his eyes closed.

"Now please,lead us to this forest you were talking about",Ran pointedly said as determination were shown from her eyes."Looks like the awakening of my fullest power changed me a bit",Ran whispered to herself as her smile risen up to the right.

They soon leave the chief's house and began taking the route through the Forest of Souls.While on the road,Leviathan suddenly took attention to Ran,as she leans on the telescope she found underneath the carriage sack.

"Do you think this creature who's owning the necronomican is a guardian like me?"

"I dont think so,but if it is,then it would be your challenger",Ran said while gazing out the clear skies.

Leviathan just bowed her head as she were trying to figure out what kind of a guardian would they encounter.

The entrance were darkened inside and vines were glowing with sky blue beacons as they reached it.It seems that the forest were located on the wall side of a kingdom which is already ruined.

"Here we are brave warriors.Be careful on the journey ahead.",the carriage manager said as he drove back to the route through the village,little he know that it was Ran,a Crusader.

They settled in as they prepare their following needs in case the creature would appear.

"Lets go...",Ran's commitment,waving her hand forward.

The firt they entered,the area were as dark and only the vines which glows in blue lightens the way.After they had reached the end of the entrance which holed in a tree stem,they saw a forest which sparkles with blue fireflies and light blue environment.They had proceeded through an enchanted forest.They had no such knowledge of the necronomicon's site so what they only do was to wander countless times.They were about to give up because of tireness when a sudden shuckle of leaves were heard.

"Stay on guard...",Ran ordered as she sparked flames on her eyes once again while the others prepared their own deffense.

They saw shadows but was unclear because of its movement.It was extremely fast as the naked eye couldnt even stop a sight for a second.A sudden voice were heard after the suspense.

"Is there anything I can help you all ladies,and a gentleman?".

As they face the voice wherebouts,they saw a man in hood with ears like cat and masked with a cat's pout.
