"Alright, let's do those "hard" moves, shall we?"
"Does that mean we can do your signature move," I asked, tying up the laces to my ice skates.
Brendon laughed and shooked his head, "You mean the quad flip? Not today sweetheart. Okay, let's first start off with some combination jumps, so get on the ice." I did as he said, standing right in the center of ice rink waiting for the first jump to be told which was a Double Axel- Double Toe Loop. Now that is where I had a problem because axels were very difficult for me.
"Now there's where you have trouble I see," He said, right as fell to the ground after trying to land the Axel. "Let's work on that. Try this sequence Axel - Half Loop - Double Salchow." Once again I failed the Axel, but did great on the Loop and the Salchow. I kept doing different kinds of sequences and combination jumps and each time I kept getting more and more frustrated. I think Brendon noticed this because he called me over to sit. He handed me my water bottle and sat next to me. I took a few sips waiting for him to speak, but he never did. All he did was sit there with a smile on his face.
"What are you smiling about," I questioned, mainly because of couldn't handle the dead silence anymore.
"You know one thing I like about is you don't give up even if you are beyond frustrated. That is a good quality by the way which will definitely help you in the future. How about we go over to Penelope's?" I nodded my head in agreement, taking off my skates and following him out the door.
We were greeted by Penelope who of course allowed us entry into the practice room. "What do you want me to do?" Brendon didn't reply. Instead, he sat down and patted the ground insinuating for me to sit.
"Poppi, have you ever been in a relationship," he inquired, randomly.
I furrowed my brows, "Um, why?"
"I'm just trying to get to know you more."
"Oh, well yes, but I wouldn't even count it as one. Before you ask why, it's just because he barely acted like a boyfriend."
"I'm sorry to hear that. Were you in love with him?"
"No, I wish I was though, but no, "I replied looking down, just realizing I was in the butterfly position.
"So you want to be in love," he asked, looking straight into my eyes making me incredibly nervous, but I proceeded to nod my head.
"What's with all these questions and why did you feel the need to ask them here?"
Brendon shrugged, "No clue, but I just found out what your theme of your program is going to be. Love."
