"Rise and shine!" I opened my eyes to a light blinding me and a man with no shirt on looking at me. Quickly, I sat myself up and rubbed my eyes. I poked him as he laughed, "You okay there?"
"Fuck, so it wasn't a dream." Brendon chuckled, climbing out of the bed. I stared at his chiseled torso, then I noticed that he was only a pair of camouflage boxers. My cheeks instantly started to heat up as I looked away. Holy shit, I thought he didn't work out. I mean he's not built, but I like that. I don't want a man who looks like a monster. Brendon's body is cute. I don't know if that's a good thing to call a man's body cute, but whatever. He is muscular, though.
"Poppi," he yelled, standing by the side of the bed.
"Yeah?"
"Come on, get dressed! We're going for a bike ride." A bike ride? What happened to practicing? Whatever, I pulled out a jacket and some leggings, then went straight into the bathroom. After washing up and changing, I met Brendon downstairs who was making coffee? "I made you some coffee," he said, handing me a white mug. I forgot I had a coffee machine.
"Oh, thanks." We sat down at my kitchen table, sipping our coffee. We sat there in silence, but it was a good silence you know what I mean. During mid sip, I looked to Brendon who was just sitting there staring at me with a smile on his face. "What?"
"What were you thinking about earlier?" Oh, god. I could myself blushing, goddammit.
"Oh, um, I was just thinking about why we're going on a bike ride." What a great save, Poppi. Oh, thank you. No problem. What is wrong with me?
"I thought it'd be nice to like explore since I've never been to Canada before," Brendon explained, taking one last sip of his coffee.
"Oh, okay... wait, how do you know I have bikes?" He smirked, picking up his cup and mine, placing them in the dishwasher.
He walked up to me, kneeling so that he was on my eye level, "They're in front of your garage."
I laughed nervously in embarrassment, "Right." Brendon held out his hand to me, pulling me off the seat. He said goodbye to Artic, then he took me outside. I hopped onto my floral designed bike while Brendon hopped onto the other one. Luckily, I don't live that far away from the shops.
Along the way, I showed Brendon all the parks, my favorite shops, my favorite restaurants, my ice skating rink, you name it. We parked our bikes in the metal bike rack that was near the parking lot of a restaurant. "Hey, what's your favorite restaurant?"
"It's that one across the street, Alexandrias."
"Perfect, let's go!" Brendon grabbed my hand as we ran across the street to Alexandrias.
Once we walked inside, a hostess stood there with a smile, "Table for two?" We nodded our heads as she sat us at a little booth. The girl looked at Brendon, blushing, "C-can I have a picture?" He smiled at her with a nod. The women took out her phone, then snapped a photo. She said a quick thank you and ran away.
"Hello, I'm Monica and I'll be your waitress today! What can I get you to drink?" Monica didn't even look at me once. She just kept her eyes on Brendon.
"I'll have a Stella. What would you like Poppi," Brendon asked, looking at me with his eyebrows raised, a smirk playing on his lips.
"I'll just have a sprite, please." Monica smiled at Brendon once more before leaving to get our drinks. "So, what are you going to get?" He continued to just sit there, smirking. "What?"
"Nothing, nothing. How about we have a wing night?"
I smiled, "Sure! Barbecue wings, though."
The waitress came back over and placed our drinks down, "What will you be having tonight?"
"We will be having barbecue wings, please." Monica wrote the order down with a frown on her face. Brendon looked at me as we laughed together. I could tell this was going to be a really fun night.
