Why?

I was in an advanced math class when I was a freshman. There was older kids in my class. I really thought it was exciting, though I later found it very boring. Being in high school you learn that people don't always pass because they're smart. One day, my math teacher put us in groups. I was put with a really smart guy. Behind us, they sat two kids that hated each other. They started arguing and coming from a Mexican background, I was eavesdropping, just a little bit. I heard the girl tell the boy " Asians are not as smart as Chinese people." I put my head in my hands and started to cry, internally. The guy, who was smarter than the girl, said "Are you autistic? China is in Asia, therefore Chinese people are Asians." Another girl decided to join into the conversation by saying "You are the dumb one. How can China be in Asia, if Asia is in Africa?" The guy next to me burst into laughter. I started laughing, too. The boy said, " Oh my god! How can both of you be so retarded? You know what I'm changing seats." After the boy left the first girl said "Are they actually from Africa?" I looked up and whispered "Why? Why do you let them steal the oxygen on earth?"
