Chapter 6

OMGGG GUYS IM SO SORRY IT HAS LITERALLY BEEN A BAJILLION YEARS SINCE IVE UPDATED.

Now I won't make excuses with schoolwork and whatnot, I was honestly having serious case of writers block. But I ultimately decided to simply just go on with writing this story. Now without further ado, on with the story!

Third Person POV:

Ren sat up in bed the next morning deciding to explore Haru's room despite doing it many times before. Immediately when he stepped foot into the room he was hit with the fresh and comforting smell of lavender. Walking over to the small night drawer by Haru's bed, he saw a bottle of a caramel looking liquid in a rectangular glass bottle. Picking it up, Ren poured a very small amount into the empty glass cup sitting next to it as he apprehensively proceeded to take a sip.

His tastebuds were immediately assaulted by the foul taste of over-whelming bitterness the instant the liquid got into his mouth. Given that Ren was also still a teenager meant that alcohol would obviously be very foreign to him. He proceeded downstairs to bathroom to brush his teeth to get rid of the taste, and also to wash his face. As Ren began brushing his teeth, a sudden flashback came back to him.

' I can do it myself!'

'I know you can, but this is hard to use isn't it?"

  'Yeah...'

Ren paused in the middle of brushing his teeth, a light blush now dusting his face. He jumped slightly when he felt a hand gently pat his head. He didn't bother to turn around since he already knew who it was.

Haru draped his arms around Ren, and over his shoulders, pressing a light, feathery kiss to the top of his head. He could practically hear the smirk present upon Haru's face due to his height. He could hear Haru hum in satisfaction as he nuzzled his nose into the crook of Ren's shoulder.

Ren finished brushing his teeth and looked up at him before circling his arms around Haru's waist and giving it a squeeze.

"Good morning."

Ren could hear Haru chuckle lightly and pressed one more kiss to his forehead before walking downstairs to make breakfast. Going back to his room momentarily, he checked the clock to see how much time he left before he had to leave for school.

He quickly finished washing his face and putting on his uniform before going downstairs. He walked into the in the kitchen to find Haru surprisingly not there, a note left on the table set next to his breakfast, and a fully prepared bento. Turning to the white board, Aki and Shima both appeared to be at class currently.

Sitting down at the table with the entire house being far too quiet than he was used to, he ate his breakfast in silent. Taking a bite of the fluffy pancakes accompanied with the exact right amount of syrup, Ren paused, doing something he couldn't remember the last time he did do this. (Does that make sense? It basically means Ren can't remember the last time he smiled 😅)

  And smiled.

"This is really good...."

Time skip after school is over

Ren unlocked the door and walked into the living room to find no one was home yet. Taking off his shoes, he walked up to Haru's room just in case he was there. Knocking on the door, there was no reply. The door was slightly ajar so he decided to push it open gently, trying not to make too much noise if Haru was sleeping.

Sticking his head inside, he fully pushed open the door when he saw that no one was inside. Ren noticed the bottle of alcohol was no longer there, but he did see something white from where he was standing. He walked over to the table and picked it up with his left hand, holding it closer; upon closer inspection he could tell it was some sort of stick that was white with a purple end.

And in the little white window at the top,

Was a plus sign.

Ok guys, I know this chapter was pretty short and there wasn't much going on. Now that finals are almost over and with break coming up, I do believe that I'll be updating more. I really hope you guys are enjoying this story, and as always, feedback is always welcome as well as suggestions or ideas.
