All Ends with Beginnings

*A few weeks later*

Scott and Kirstie decide to go to the mall and talk about their relationships.

They walk around for hours and hours, buying whatever they wanted.

With a few bags in each arm, the two go to a ring shop.

Kirstie: Oh my god, Scott! Look at this one!

She says excitedly as she points to a shiny blue diamond.

Scott: Oooo! Pretty!

As Kirstie continues to look around, Scott sets their bags down.

Scott: Hey Kirstie?

He asks.

Kirstie: Yeah?

She answers while looking at all of the rings.

Scott: Do you think you and Avi will get married?

He asks nervously, but also serious.

She tries a ring on and admires it, but stops and looks at Scott when he asks.

Kirstie: What?

Scott: Do you think you and Avi will get married?

She focuses back on the ring and shrugs.

Kirstie: I don't know..maybe? Why do you ask?

Scott shrugs back.

Kirstie: Do you think you'll marry Mitch?

He sits on a near by stool and looks at her.

Scott: ...Yes..

She smiles at him.

Scott: Well at least I hope we will..

Kirstie: Are you in love with him?

He nods.

Scott: Deeply..

Kirstie: Do you think he's in love with you?

He shrugs again.

Scott: I don't know.

Kirstie sits next to him.

Kirstie: Why you think you don't know?

Scott: Sometimes we get along perfectly, but other times, I feel like he likes any cute guy more than me.

He says looking down a bit.

Kirstie: Don't think that, Scottie. Mitch loves you.

Scott: He's never told me..

Kirstie: You've never told him either...

He stays quiet.

Kirstie: How soon do you want to ask him?

Scott: As soon as I can..I want him to know how I feel. How I really feel. That I want to be with him for the rest of my life..not just as friends..that I want to hold him in my arms forever. I want to fall asleep and wake up next to him everyday..

Kirstie: Come on.

She smiles.

Scott: Where are we going?

Kirstie: We're picking out a ring so you can propose to Mitch!

Scott: But what if he says no?

She takes Scott's hands and pulls him up with a reassuring smile.

Kirstie: He won't. Trust me.

Scott smiles and looks for a ring.

After about twenty minutes of searching for the perfect ring, Scott finally decides on a silver three diamond ring. He orders it customized to say "Mitch Grassi-Hoying".

Guy: Okay, we will have that ready for you in a few days, Mr. Hoying!

The worker says with a smile.

Scott: Thank you!

Kirstie: What's your name?

Guy: Jared.

Scott and Kirstie smiles at each other.

Jared: Yes, I know. A guy named Jared working at a jewelry store.

He laughs.

Jared: I get that all the time. Have a nice day you two!

Scott and Kirstie: You too!

As they grab their bags and leave the store, Kirstie notices Scott's attitude.

Kirstie: Excited?

He nods and smiles at her.

Scott: Of course!

Kirstie smiles back.

Kirstie: Nervous?

Scott: Extremely..

Kirstie: Well don't worry. You have a while before you get the ring in your hand to calm down and think of how you're going to ask him. Keep in mind Avi, Kevin and I are here to help if you need it too!

He hugs her tightly.

Scott: Thank you so much, Kirstie.

She smiles hugging her best friend.

She can feel his heart beating rapidly.

Kirstie: You're welcome, Scottie.
