They Meet Again

The Next Day

K opened her eyes and stretched. she looked to her right and saw the alarm clock.

6:30 am

She immediately sat up.

I'm late! She thought.

She got out of bed and went to the bathroom.

She was brushing her teeth while she took out her phone to call Anne.

"Hello?" Anne answered

"Anne, can you tell the boss that I'm gonna be late?" she asked

"Late?" Anne was confused "what are you talking about? It's Saturday"

K stopped brushing her teeth for a second.

"What?!" K asked loudly "ugh! okay thanks anyway Anne"

Anne just laughed "Alright, see ya!"

K put her phone down and finished brushing her teeth.

JM woke up.

6:45 am

He did the usual morning routine. After that he got dressed and went to his living room. He is currently in his condo right now.

He was in the middle of preparing breakfast when he heard a knock on the door.

He stopped what he was doing and answered the door.

He opened it and, "Hey, babe!"

"Oh hey" he said. She kissed him before going in the condo.

"What are you making here?" she went to the kitchen.

"Um you know, the usual breakfast food" he chuckled.

"I see that" she laughed too

"Why didn't you tell me you were coming over?" he went back to cooking.

"Well, I wanted to surprise you and make you breakfast but you've done it yourself" she went over to him and hugged him from behind.

"Aww" he said "okay, why don't I go back to sleep and you pretend this didn't happen at all" he laughed

She also laughed "nah, you got it" she let go.

"Oh, thanks for the help" he said sarcastically

"Hahahaha, what? I don't want to interrupt you" she sat on the breakfast bar.

He smiled "it's fine. I'm done anyway" he turned off the stove and put the dishes on the table.

"Bon Appetite" he said

"Mmm, looks good" she got some and put it on her plate.

JM went behind her and hugged her.

"You like it?" he asked

"Mhmm" she said while chewing.

"Good" JM said. She made him try some of it.

"Here" she said. She out the spoon in his mouth.

"Thanks" he said "hey"

"Yeah?"

"I'm gonna meet up with my friend later. Is that cool?" he asked

"Yeah, why wouldn't it be?" she asked

"It's Karylle" he said

She stopped eating and turned around.

"So?" she asked "you've moved on right?"

"Yes, of course I have. It's just, you might not be okay with it"

"It will only be a problem, if you still have feelings for her"

"Alright, thanks" he kissed her cheek.

"Come on, let's eat" she said. She and JM went back to eating.

K was sitting in her living room. She is currently watching TV.

Then her phone rang.

"Hello?" she answered

"K?"

"JM?"

"Yeah, it's me" JM said "I wanted to ask if you are free today?"

"Free?" she got a little excited "umm, let me check my schedule. She pretended to get up and look at her calendar. She really just sat there and made crumpling noises.

"JM?" she asked

"I'm still here" JM said

"Yeah, I'm free today"

"Alright, I'll text you the details. See ya!" he hung up.

She put her phone down then run up to her bedroom.

"OMG! what am I gonna wear?!" She asked herself. She went in her closet and raided it.

"Elegant? or Casual?" she was looking at her dresses.

"Oh come on K, this is not a date. Stop assuming" she said to herself.

She then picked out a really cute and casual dress. It was perfect.

"Yes!" she put it on her bed. She then proceeded to her make up table.

"Hmm, let's just go with a light makeup" she took out all the things she needed and prepared it.

After that, she went and took a shower.

After 30 minutes, she got out of the bathroom and then went to her table.

After about 30 minutes, she got dressed.

"Wait" she told herself "I don't even know what time were gonna meet" she realized

"Ugh, I wasted all this time" she flopped down on the bed.

She grabbed her phone and looked at it.

"Come on JM" she pleaded

Buzz!

She almost threw her phone. She immediately unlocked it. It read:

K, this is JM. Can I just pick you up from your house?

She replied

Yeah sure. What time?

After a minute he replied back

I'll be there in 15.

She replied

Alright. See you then.

She put her phone down and checked herself in the mirror one more time.

15 minutes later.

Ding Dong

K quickly rushed downstairs with all her stuff. She checked herself once more then opened the door.

There stood JM in casual clothes

Oh thank goodness I didn't go for elegant, she thought

"Hey" JM greeted her

"Hi" she said back

"So shall we?" JM led the way for her

"We shall" they then walked to his car.

While in the car

"So, where are we going?" K asked

"It's a surprise" JM just smiled.

"Really?" she said "the last time you said that, I was asked out" she laughed

JM barely even smiled "...yeah"

K noticed but didn't really mind it.

"It's different this time" JM said

"I'll take your word for it" she agreed with him and didn't ask more questions.
