SNEAK PEAK

In that horrible moment, Matsyaa recited all the prayers she remembered. Bribed the higher powers with impossible and prayed to survive but she forgot to keep herself steady and clumsily lost her hold. 

"No. No. No." Her terrorized screams filled the air as her delicate body floated down the height and she pressed her eyes shut, anticipating the hard collision. 

Which eventually never came. Instead, she felt herself being bounced lightly against…a pair of arms.

"I got you, sweetheart!" Ranvijay said briskly, catching her on time and her breath hitched. His tempting voice beguiled her into the false sense of security.

Her eyes pricked with tears and with walloping reluctance, she opened her eyes to unwillingly greet his cold, blue gaze. His murky gaze— teemed with fury—sized her up, possibly searching for the unpleasant damage. 

"Your effort was great but the idea was foolish. It lacked conviction." He derided, assessing the height to the window and scornfully added. "And, you missed that my eyes are always on you."

To respect his words, he lingered his chilling gaze upon her face, making her squirm uncomfortably in his arms. 

"So I suggest stop being funny and give up." His voice brooked no room for argument and he stiffened his arms around her gentle frame. "Because I will catch you. Always. Every time."

Matsyaa blinked away her tears as he carried her into his palatial universe with the intentions to never free her.
