Do you realise that Mike was the first person to show El nice gestures. Like yeah I understand that Benny was nice to her in the beginning but to El, he betrayed her by calling child service and having Brenner show up. And Brenner really only wanted her for her powers. Even Lucas and Dustin weren't so sure about her in the beginning. No matter what would happen Mike would have a special place in her heart because of it.
