The car slowly crept up the street as the girl walked with her headphones in. Through her mind her favorite song by "The Weeknd" echoes.

She looks to her left to see the muscle car. The black tinted windows give her more chills since she can't see who's in the car. The motor loudly roars and she slightly jumps before looking around.

Of all the days for her to take this shortcut home this would happen. Her nerves heighten as the car suddenly stops.

Without thinking she runs, not towards the busiest part of the city, but into the woods. She runs so much that she's almost lost. Everything starts to look the same. The roar of the car motor is no more but she knows she's not alone.

Pulling out her cellphone she instantly sees she has no service. A twig cracks behind her as she turns around a looks someone right in the eyes.

"Alright now it's time for bed!" Kenny says making the kids groan loudly. "But daddy you left us at a cliffhanger, that's not fair!" Kenny smiled to himself as he got up and left the living room.

"Done already? I guess you didn't finish this story either." Kenny smiled at Toni who was putting up the dishes. "Yeah, they're in there pouting about it."

"Mom! Dad is being petty again! Will I ever have a decent sleepover?" Keisha asked dramatically as her phone buzzed and made noises. She instantly looked though it before typing away. Her cheeks got bright red as she smiled brightly.

"That better not be a boy!" Keisha jumped almost dropping her phone in the process. Toni and Keisha had already talked about her boyfriend, Kenny was clueless.

"Of course not father. Why would I have a boyfriend?"

Just as Keisha finished her sentence her best friend Roxy walked in the kitchen. "You and Austin broke up?" Toni's and Keisha's eyes got big as Roxy pulled Keisha into a tight hug.

"Girl I'm so sorry. I would had thought by how serious y'all was, it would last long. But I got a perfect guy for you to get over Austin." Roxy said while rubbing Keisha's back in circles.

"That won't be necessary Keisha. How about you leave me to talk to my lovely, heartbroken daughter." Roxy slipped off as Kenny eased towards Keisha. Toni bit her lip as she prepared herself for the screaming match approaching.

"Last time I checked you couldn't have a boyfriend! So why in the hell did you think it was okay?" Kenny towered over Keisha making her look down. She looked up and her eyes fell on Toni. Kenny sighed as he pulled Keisha into a hug and kissed her head.

"I'm just not ready to let you go, you're growing up so fast. Invite him over for family dinner so I can meet him." Keisha smiled brightly as she ran out of the kitchen.

"Toni, we need to have a serious talk."

"Must you be so rough? I know you're mad but don't be pulling on my sheets and comforter like that." Kenny looked over at Toni with hate.

"I said I was sorry." Toni walked over to Kenny with her puppy face. Kenny completely ignored her as he walked into the bathroom.

"Toni we are a team. We both have to agree on stuff together. You just can't leave me blind out here like that." Kenny said from the bathroom as Toni rolled her eyes. "I know but you would had never let her. You should had seen the look in her eyes when she told me about him."

"Is it the same way she looks at Skittles?" Toni threw a pillow at Kenny as he walked out of the bathroom. He was being such an ass to her but he wasn't a girl so he didn't understand.

"You can't keep them apart. Doing that will only make whatever this is worst."

"Over my dead body Toni. Keisha is going to college and is not going to be boy crazy. I'm not raising a slut."

With that being said Kenny turned over and went to sleep.

"You're going to ruin your relationship with her if you don't stop."

I'm slightly starting to lose my excitement with Wattpad. Hopefully this book changes my mind about my future plans to stop writing books.
