Chapter 10:

"She has a brother?!" Dean repeats in shock.

Crowley nods,"She didn't say much else. I assume that will be a story for you all to hear. Best to hurry, she wasn't doing well."

Sherlock holds his chin in thought. "I knew of her brother, she told me some of her past once... but it was a lie. I don't know what to believe anymore."

Sam runs his hands across his face with a sigh and stands,"Let's get going. The sooner we find her the better."

Sara feels a familiar scent enter the room, but she stays in her spot by the television.

"Why did you lie about your family? Why tell me that you killed your brother?" Sherlock questions her.

She shrugs,"I couldn't very well tell you that I am the spawn of a demon, now could I?"

He bristles. "And your brother?"

"His death may have well been from my hand."

"And that is what changed in you, all those years ago," Sherlock guesses.

She nods,"After he was gone... I-I didn't know what to do with myself. He was my only close family left, I was finally alone in this world." She glances back at him,"I had enough of killing, so I buried that side of me deep and tried to move on."

Sherlock tentatively moves to sit next to her. "You did it once before, you can do it again. Bury this feeling deep down, build a mind palace and stash this voice away."

Sara is suddenly on her feet. "It is not that easy!" She growls, her eyes turning red. "Rosie is dead because of me! I can't just forget that!"

Silence falls over the room. Sherlock slowly stands,"Sara... Rosie is alive. Tom didn't kill her."

Her eyes start to fill with tears,"W-what? But I saw- I saw him break her neck."

Sherlock shakes his head and takes a step toward her. "She had his blood in her system. Tom turned her into a vampire.."

Sara falls to her knees in shock. "S-She's alive. I can't believe it."

Sherlock kneels by her side and places his hands on her shoulders. "It's true. You can stop this now. You have no reason to feel guilty. Come back to me, Sara." Sherlock urges.

She gazes into his soft blue eyes an reaches up to caress his face. "I want to, but its not that easy. It took me decades to get back in control last time."

"Let us help you," Sherlock pleads. "You don't have to do this alone anymore."

Sara gulps, her eyes getting teary. "Okay."

Sherlock helps her outside where she is quickly enveloped into the arms of Sam and Dean.

Sara looks uncomfortable so John steps in and waves them away. "Boys, give her some space."

Sara smiles gratefully at John then looks at everyone. "C-can i see her now?"

Crowley suddenly appears behind John , he smiles sarcastically. "Of course." He snaps his fingers and they are all back in 221b in an instant. He points a finger at the Winchesters. "My debt to you has been owed. Next time we meet-"

"You will kill us?" Dean cuts in cheekily.

Crowley makes a face. "Smart boy." Then he is gone.

John clears his throat. "I will go get Rosie from Mrs.Hudson then."

Sherlock nods to him and moves Sara to sit in his armchair. "Are you hungry?" He asks his girlfriend.

Sara nods,"Starving."

He notices her eyes becoming a tinted red color so he jogs off to get her a glass of blood.

Dean sits in front of Sara in John's chair. "How you doing, bud?" He asks her.

She gives him a weak smile,"I'm trying to get through it." Her eyes flicker to his neck, she gulps. "Sherlock?"

Sherlock is by her side in seconds and hands her the cup. She drains the drink in seconds and hands it back to him with a relieved smile. "Thank you."

John then enters the flat with Rosie in his arms. Sara jumps to her feet as they enter. "Rosie?" She breathes.

"Auntie!" Rosie squeals and squirms out of John's arms.

Sara pulls the child into a tight hug. "Oh my sweet girl. You're alive, you're safe, you're... a vampire."

Rosie smiles up at Sara and shows her fangs.

John then speaks up,"We were, um, hoping you would shed some light on our situation." He clears his throat,"Now that we know of your true origin we also know why Sherlock and Rosie are different from the vampires that Dean and Sam know of. But, there are things that we don't know. Like how the aging process will be for them. Or how this will effect Rosie's overall development."

Sara listens quietly as Rosie snuggles her face into her shoulder. She nods after John is finished. "I understand your worries, and... i am sad to tell you that the aging process is slowed quite dramatically for us. I do not know exactly how much, but I can guess that it is close to fifteen years for every one year older we age." She sighs,"I'm so sorry John. This is all my fault-"

"Stop it," Sherlock demands. "What has happened cannot be changed, so wallowing in guilt is pointless. We are all alive and healthy, we should be celebrating." He walks to John who looks like someone has punched him in the gut. "John, this may seem like a curse, but think of it this way. Rosie is stronger than any human. She will never get sick, and it will be incredible hard for her to die."

"But if she ages so slowly, won't she by like five by the time he is eighty?" Dean asks before thinking. He gets an elbow in side from his brother a moment later.

John takes in a deep breath. "He's right. I-I can't leave her on her own."

Sherlock frowns,"What are you talking about?"

Sara's eyes widen as she stares at her friend. "He wants us to turn him."

Sherlock looks at her in shock,"What?!"
