*you can imagine Natalie as the girl in the picture above.*

I think I knew who the 'certain person' he was talking about was. With a sigh, I pressed play on the 'Monday' file.

"Today was the day. New school year and new me and all that shit. I stood there in front of an impressively posh and good looking building spelling Meritorious High School. As much as I dislike the idea of going back to school, getting away from home was enough to motivate me. Matters are getting worse at home and it's becoming a tough choice between home or school. Not that I have a choice.

I entered the gates and saw Natalie Miller smiling and waving like crazy at me. I smiled and waved back. Now, about Natalie. She just moved here with her father after her parents split up. She doesn't speak much but smiles at everyone. You can say that a simple act like smiling makes her the victim of bullying a lot of times (though, not as many times as I am) which is totally unfair because that's like punishing someone for being happy. She gets called stuff like 'Nuts-alie' and 'Nutty Smiley' a lot.

Talking about bullying, I couldn't see any bullies around which was a big relief. Perhaps people are too busy getting organized on the first day of school to disorganize our bones."

That joke cracked me up. I looked up at Cody, he was laughing too.

"I had a lot of classes with Cody which was another big relief. But in Bio, I was on my own. Jade Jones was in front of me partnered with Evan. I was very happy to be partnered with Amanda. The only problem was that she was dead chatty. So while I nodded my head at her hour long speech about why snakes are actually friendly and cute, Mr. Houston got angry and partnered me with none other than... (drum roll voice) Jade Jones."

I winced. The way he said the name 'Jade Jones' was high pitched. Like he was in a wrestling match. You have to really hate someone to do that.

"She rolled her eyes and opened her mouth to protest but shut it immediately. And that's how I was stuck with the stuck up princess. And boy was she bossy. Just like Hermione in Harry Potter, except Hermione actually had a heart. So that's one bad thing I was blessed with today, at lunch Cody and I talked about why we should have school uniform. Cody was totally against it.

"But we have the freedom to express ourselves!" He insisted.

"Think about it, Cods. All those stuck up people with branded designer clothes will be dragged down to our level."

"Give me a break, Dylan. You own designer clothes yourself. You're filthy rich."

"I'm speaking for others too."

After considering for a while, he gave in."Alright, you win. Happy?"

"You bet." I smiled.

There is just something about being with Cody. It makes you forget all the bad stuff happening around you. I used to have another such friend, but she... nevermind."

I could here constant shrieking in the background.

As if he had read my mind, he continued, "Mom is shouting at Dad again for not doing the dishes because he went to buy groceries. All the chores she supposed to do. Dad has to work too apart from doing the chores and taking care of Mom's shit. And yet she doesn't appreci-."

There a pause then...

"HOLY SHIT! ITS FREAKING 2:27 AM I HAVE TO GO TO SLEEP! Bye, Laps!"

I laughed and closed the file.
