Shelby's POV

I let them both into my house so we could begin quickly. I would be lying if I said I wasn't excited. But I don't know if it's about Christmas or the fact that me and Noah are partially alone for the second time. For some reason, he looks nervous, I wonder what's on his mind? I squeezed through the boxes to get to the coffee table to put my docking station on. Putting my phone on the charger bit, I opened Spotify and shuffled my Christmas song playlist. My favourite Christmas song 'All I Want For Christmas Is You'
"Right let's get started," I rubbed my hands together as I spoke. I started singing along to the words but only quietly so they couldn't hear me over Millie's shouting. Then I realised how much this song links with Noah.

A couple hours later

We were just about done with the Christmas tree. All that's left to do is the star. I couldn't reach the top so Noah lifted me up. I started blushing and quickly put the star on top of the tree. After he put me down, I noticed Millie wasn't in the room. I dragged Noah through the doorway to see Millie standing there and smirking.
"Look up." Oh that little cheek. She hung mistletoe on the doorframe. I gave her the death stare for a couple of seconds then turned to Noah who was blushing. I decided to make first move and pecked his lips softly. Pulling away, I looked into his eyes and smiled, then turning back to Millie to continue the death stare.
"Is it okay if I go make hot chocolate? I'll make some for you guys too." Noah's voice rang in my ears.
"Sure, I need to speak with Millie about..." I trailed off, thinking about a lie to tell Noah, "our shopping trip, yeah" he nodded and walked away. Once he was out of earshot, I whisper- shouted at Millie.
"Why the hell did you do that?"
"Because it's obvious that you two like each other, I'm just trying to make it happen." She stated.
"Then why did he make out with you when you guys were in the closet for over 7 minutes?" Millie crossed her arms and looked at me. I knew I wasn't going to win this argument. I heard something drop in the kitchen. I ran just in case Noah was hurt by it. He looked at my worried face and said in a soothing voice
"I only dropped a spoon, calm down" I blushed then sighed in relief. He handed me my hot chocolate and we went to sit down in the now cleared and decorated living room. Millie walked back in with her phone in her hand.
"Guys, I'm really sorry, I have to go."
"No, that's fine, thank you for helping us decorate." I said, standing up and giving her a quick hug. She soon went out the door and I sat back down next to Noah. He placed his arm around me and put on 'The Grinch'
"How'd you know this is my favorite Christmas movie?" I asked, placing my empty mug on the coffee table and leaning back in his arm and towards his chest.
"I didn't, it's my favourite Christmas movie too." He said, looking down at me with those chocolatey green eyes. The movie came on and I wanted to stay in this moment forever. I don't know how far we were in the movie but I fell asleep in Noah's arms and it felt so right.

Noah's POV
My eyes darted from the film to Shelby and noticed she fell asleep. Damn, I really wanted to ask her on a date. Wait where is this confidence coming from? I know she'll say no anyways so what's the point? Yeah, that sounds better. I kept thinking about it then turned my vision back onto the movie. It felt so right having her on my arms, it's like she belongs there.
