Kageyama Tobio has experienced his fair share of pain like everyone else has. He didn't deserve it, some say. He did deserve it. Others argue. There was never a true verdict.

He could remember the volleyball hit the ground. Every night he hears it. It would sound ridiculous to a normal everyday person. But when you really play the sport, when you really know what should have happened. How distorted it became. Like glitched music. It feels wrong.

The sound of that volleyball hitting the ground was the sound of terror to him. It's like waking up one morning and something feels off. There's no furniture in the home. Doesn't that feel so very off? It would to a normal person just like the set did to Tobio.

After a while, he tried again. This time, he heard the ball violently slap against a hand and hit the ground, bouncing off a few feet high. He smiled genuinely. The other person smiled.

He felt joy again.

Joy.

What was next to come? He didn't know.
He felt a mix of emotions everyday as he woke up. He started to feel.. fake. Like everything around him was just animated. Like he was fictional. Is the world he even lives in real anymore? Probably not. He's become self aware that he's in a fictional world.

His perspective of everything starts to change. He can see it now. The mistakes in the animation, the unbelievable and extraordinary things that happen around him. He started to see it all. He realizes that he can't get out of this hell hole. He realizes that his world he's in has no history.

Not like he's fighting to get out of this fictional world yet anyways. Shouyou is the only thing keeping him here anyways. If he killed himself, would he really make it out then? Where would he go? Is he really that important in the whole scene of it? No, you stay for Shouyou. He's the only thing keeping you from killing yourself. Tobio would think on a daily basis. Maybe he can find a way out with Shouyou.

Maybe.
