By now Devil was quite angered. The red glow in his eyes was stronger than ever. You knew a battle would erupt. He took his trident out of nowhere, and summoned blue and pink fire balls. Jumping over and under them, you threw more cards, making cuts, some deep and some not. You didn't know other attacks, but this seemed to deal pretty good damage. You made scratches, and even sliced half of his other horn off. You had only a card left now. He was weak, but so were you. Exhausted, you stopped for a while.

He lifted his trident, and threw it.

You couldn't dodge.

It impaled your back, and (your dominant) arm.

You fell down, the golden trident stained with blood stuck on you. Warm blood dripped off of you. You coughed blood up. But you weren't giving up, even though the pain was burning, paralyzing. You took the one fallen card that was left, and threw it after infusing it with a ton of magic. It hit him right in the chest. Blood was dripping off of him, too. After hissing, he left the room. You got up, and the trident fell, as well as blood. It hurt like hell, no pun intented.

You looked at the clock and it was closing time. Perfect. Just like you planned. You went to the half-empty casino, and called out all the staff. They saw your injuries, but disregarded all the questions.

"Just.. follow me", you huffed. The blood loss did take a toll on you, but you stood strong.

You walked out the casino, and headed for the forest. You had seen it when walking around the isle. The nine followed you, and you finally arrived at the forest. You saw a purple figure. Dice.

"Hey! Dice..", you shouted the best you could.

"Y/N! And you all!", Dice came up to you.

"Give them the contracts..", you mumbled, trying your best to stay on your feet. Dice gave them all their contracts. You heards things like "thanks" and gasps.

"You're now free from the Devil's due. And don't worry about the guy himself. I beat the hell out of him.. no pun intented..", you smiled.

"Wait- You fought the big cheese?", Chips Bettigan asked.

"You bet'cha", you replied.

"Is that where you got that injury?", Pirouletta asked.

"..Yes", you admitted.

"What injury?", Dice asked, and took a look at you. "For goodness's sake! How did you even get this far?"

"I'm fine, just a little dizzy", you said. "Okay, maybe a little more than dizzy.."

"There isn't a hospital anywhere near", Mangosteen said.

"We have a first aid kit at the casino", Phear Lap said. "I'll go get it!"

He dashed off, and Dice lifted you up in bridal style, of course, avoiding your injuries.

"Trust me, I'll be *cough* okay", you assured.

"Ironic", Dice said, listening to your coughing. You arrived at the casino. You were wondering, did Devil leave? Or is he lurking in the shadows somewhere?

That concerned you, but he probably wouldn't attack you. Dice let you stand as he placed you on the ground. You were still dizzy from all the blood loss, but you did your best to stand. Phear Lap came up to you, and placed the first aid kit on the counter. Dice opened it, and took all the stuff he needed.

He cleaned and bandaged your wound, and you winced once in a while. You had gotten a glass of water to fight off the dizziness. You were determined to survive! For Dice..

"Feelin' any betta'?", Dice said, when he found his voice.

"Yeah", you said. There was a little silence.

"How did you get our contracts from the Devil?", one of the Tipsy Troop asked.

"I just had a friend of mine distract him while I went to get them, easy", you replied.

"..Why did you get them?"

"What kind of question is that? I know you've been trapped here because of the Devil himself. Dice told me this, and I decided to help, since Devil didn't have my contract. I 'befriended' him, and gave him a fake contract. I got them, and here you are."

"That's nice of you" "You didn't have to.." "You didn't even know us that well but you did it anyway!", were things you heard, making you proud of yourself. Until you heard a growl.
