19. The Date

Fortunately I reached there on time. It was a bit dark in there so I was just wandering whether I came to the right place. Suddenly I saw a familiar face coming towards me.

Paul.

He smiled at me warmly and I smiled back. He was such a nice man. I liked him a lot. Just because he is there these five monkeys were safe and sound today. I was very thankful to him for that. He handed me a chit.

I opened it: "Cover your eyes with this and come along with Paul."

I didn't know what was to come but I had to trust it. Paul tied the blindfold for me and then led me to wherever he was. I just hoped that my heart didn't come out of my mouth.

Suddenly I realised Paul wasn't there anymore and as I was about to remove my blindfold and turn around and see, someone just came and picked me up and before I could react and kissed my forehead.

Okay.

I knew it was Niall.

I let out a sigh of relief and smiled a little. He carried me for sometime and then kept me down and removed my blindfold.

When I opened my eyes I was standing on a wooden floor. It stretched until the coastline of the lake. All around the wooden path the trees were decorated with lights. Along the side of the wooden path artificial diyas were lit. In the middle of the pathway a table was set up with two chairs on either side of it and candles were lit.

I stared at the beautiful place for sometime. I really loved the place. I didn't realise for how long I was staring when I heard him say,

"You look beautiful."
And kissed the side of my head.

I looked at him and smiled, "Thanks. I love this place and your choice of things."

I stood on my tip toes and kissed him on his cheek.

I could see his ear starting to become red but he tried to play it cool and be manly and cleared his throat. I loved the effect that I had on him. He grabbed my hand and Pulled me along with him.

"Come on there's something more I'm sure you'll love."

He brought me to the edge of the wooden path which was kind of just above the water. In the water diyas were floating all around and the way the water reflected it, it looked heavenly.

"I love this place so much."

I realised that it came out of my mouth kind of like a squeak.

Niall laughed at it.

He pointed up to the sky, "Look up."

I looked up at the sky which was just dark and empty. When I was just about to ask him what, the sky started filling up- a sky full of lighters.

He pulled me down beside him to sit on the edge of the pathway. We dangled our feet off the edge. He brought his guitar along with him and started singing softly:
