At the camp, all the men were asleep. Hyousuke pulled and kicked Ares to his empty tent. As Hyousuke took off the noose from Ares' neck, Ares spat on his cheek. Hyousuke glared at him, but that was not the primary reason. He noticed that not a single drop of blood or a single scratch was on Ares' neck. Hyousuke eyed him suspiciously.

"What are you looking at, human?" spat Ares trying to sit up. Hyousuke stepped on his chest, forbidding him.

"Human?" Hyousuke scoffed. "And you? What do you think you are?"

Ares' eyes darted to Hyousuke, deciding in his head whether to tell or not. Ares' eyes gleamed bright amber as he said, "A god."

Hyousuke tried to suppress his laughter, "I know the name I gave you is of a god, but I didn't think you'd be so into it." He breathed in relief, "That was a good laugh. Welcome to my army, Ares." He tied both of Ares' hands on a pole. "Go get some sleep." He blew out the candle.

In the darkness, Ares could hear Hyousuke take off his armor and the ruffling of bedsheets as he climbed into bed. After Ares thought Hyousuke was asleep, he opened his eyes and saw the reflection of his sword. He reached for it with his foot, slowly and quietly.

There was a sound. Ares stopped. It was Hyousuke sleep-talking. Ares pursued and got the blade to carefully shave off the rope behind him. After an adequate amount of time, his hands were free.

I should just kill this bastard and get out of here, Ares thought, grabbing the sword. He lifted the blade over his head, ready to aim at his heart. Goodbye, scum. He thrusted the sword to Hyousuke's stomach.
