“Tch, I missed,” Ares murmured.
Hyousuke kicked Ares’ legs, making him fall on his back. Hyousuke seized the sword and pinned Ares’ shoulder with it. “What do you think you're doing?” he barked.
“I was trying to kill you,” Ares spat, groaning.
“I appreciate your honesty, but you're not invincible, you know.” Hyousuke took out a dagger from behind his back and pinned his other shoulder. Ares screamed and wailed in agony. “You can still feel pain,” he taunted. Hyousuke left Ares pinned on the ground and climbed in bed.
That bastard! Ares thought, glaring at Hyousuke’s back.

Morning came. Hyousuke opened his eyes first. He looked at the sleeping Ares and took out the daggers from his shoulders.
Still no blood, he thought.
Suddenly, Ares’ eyes shot open and he swiftly punched Hyousuke's jaw. His stomach growled.
“Whoa, whoa. Easy there, Ares.” Hyousuke said, as if taming a wild horse. “Let's be civil.”
Ares calmed down; he was hungry. “Food.” Ares murmured.
“What?”
“Give me food.”
“I guess even gods get hungry,” Hyousuke chuckled. “I should starve you, then? Since you seem so tame now.”
“Why are you so kind to someone who tried to kill you multiple times?”
“No one has yet given me such a challenge, except you.” Hyousuke said, getting dressed. “I've found a kindred spirit. A blessing.” He threw new clothes at Ares. “Get dressed. Your clothes are stained with blood.”
“O-okay,” Ares stuttered.
“Meet me in the dining tent. I’ll introduce you to my men.”
“How will I find you?”
“You’ll smell it,” Hyousuke laughed, “you wild animal.”
