What is your username?
A. Vapid_Ink
When did you start writing lgbt stories? why do you write them?
A. About three or four years ago. I just wanted to explore other types of relationships while improving my skills (or lack of) in the romance genre. I also wanted to do something related to the fluidity of sexuality.
What can you tell us about the current story you’re working on? Tell us a little about the plot and the characters in it?
A. Well, I'm working on one romance story I've uploaded -- Vigilante. It centers around Eli, a college student working in a coffee shop, and Matthew, a regular at the coffee shop, with an odd hobby of spending nights patrolling the city as a masked crime-fighter. He admits to having a crush on Eli, who is probably the only person in the city not impressed by his good deeds.
Vigilante is a mix of romance, humor, drama and a tad bit of action.
Why do you think the readers should read your story (mention the factors which will be appealing to the readers)?
A. It's fun, light-hearted, sweet at times and who doesn't like reading about super heroes?
Which is your favorite character, in the current story you are working on?
A. Eli, hands down. He's one of the more real characters I've written in that he's very much a grumpy, sleep-deprived, overly-stressed, college student. He's snarky, funny and can throw a punch!
Which do you like writing more (boyxboy or girlxgirl or both)? Why?
A. Definitely boyxboy, but only because I haven't tried my hand at girlxgirl yet. Who knows, I might enjoy that more.
Can you tell us about your other stories, any two other stories that you are working on?
A. I'm working on one titled "Iron Sea" which is a very sad romance that deals with death and how people cope with the loss of a loved one. There's a bit of the supernatural mixed in and some very complex relationships with intense scenes planned out.
There's also "Four Leaf", the sequel to my completed story "Clover". This story continues with the story of Sascha and Evan, and centers around the hardships of mantaining a relationship. It deals with all sorts of issues and is told in four parts -- or four leafs -- working towards what will hopefully be a happy ending. There are four central themes that will be explored as the characters grow and mature.
Do you offer critiques to other users? If you have offered a critique, mention that story?
A. Of course! I do critiques for free (I have an ad in the pinned thread) and I've read some really great stories lately. "How to Love a Dead Boy" and "The Door to Shadows" come to mind, and you can find them in my reading lists. Please check out the books there and give them some feedback, they really deserve it. c:
Do you write for yourself or for the readers?
A. A little of both. I write with the intention to entertain others, and the thing that makes me happiest is to hear that someone has enjoyed my story. The things I write are things that interest me, so I do write a bit for myself.
Describe yourself in ten words.
A. Geeky, snarky, friendly, air-headed, silly, introverted, blunt, practical, artistic, and unconventional
