River POV

The drive back to my house with August was weird. I saw that he was going to the gas station I looked at him.

" It's good I just need gas but you want anything ". He asked.

" Gatorade please ".

" Alright ".

He got out the car and I looked at my phone. I FaceTime Lola because I was freaking out. She answered and I started smiling.

" Lola he's so sweet ". I say.

" Jelly as fuck I bet y'all gone get with each other if he's doing all of that ". She said smiling.

" No he's a junior ". I say.

I hung up because he was coming back. He did the gas and got in the car.

" Didn't know what you wanted so I got red is that ok ". He say.

We pulled up to my house, he opened the door for me. I notice my dad car ugh why.

" Thanks ".

He gave me a smile and we walked out in the house.

" We're here ". I say.

" I'm in the kitchen ". She replied.

We walked in the kitchen I saw my little brother and mom.

" Hey guys ".

" Umm were going to go upstairs ".

We went upstairs to my room I shut the door.

" Alright I have French homework and I haven't even started so you can help on that ".

I got my book bag and started pulling out stuff.

My door opened and it was my dad.

He gave August a death glare. " What are you doing in my house? My daughter isn't allowed to date, ". He said.

I looked at him he's being so rude. August didn't seem bothered. He got up and went over to dad.

" My names August Alsina. I'm tutoring your daughter for French ". August say with a smile.

" I don't care I want you out my house ".

" Dad ". I protested, shocked at his words.

" It's alright Rivers., ". August said.

" If I had a daughter as beautiful as Rivers, I'd be trying to protect her, too ". He added.

August started getting his things.

" Is it ok if I tutor her at school ". He asked.

My dad didn't say anything it was awkward.

" I'm interested in dating your daughter sir but I'll wait until she's old enough ". August say.

My heart nearly dropped I wanted to run a mile.

" You can stay ". My dad muttered.

My dad walked out and I looked at August.

" I'm really sorry about that that was so embarrassing ". I say.

My door opened and it was my mom.

" Dinner is done August your free to join ". She say smiling.

She walked out and August and I went to the bathroom. I watched him wash his hands.

" Did you really mean what you said earlier ". I asked.

I bit my lip and looked down.

" You really thought I wanted to come over here to tutor you ". He said.

" Yes ". I say.

" I want to date you ".

" What I'm a freshman ". I said with a confused look.
