Chapter (29)

Zeynep's POV.

Zeynep arrived home and to her surprise she found Kemal's car outside. She hurried inside feeling scared, not knowing what she's going to face.

Zeynep harried inside and asked the maids where Emir and Kemal was. She went to the office and heard them scream at eachother.. She was about to step inside when she heard Emir's words.

"...Your sister loves me.. it didn't take much of me to make her fall at my feet.. like always your sister gave her body and soul to the devil. To me"

Zeynep froze. (what??) She couldn't move any further. she couldn't even breath. . No she didn't hear right.

Emir wasn't talking about her. No. He won't say those horrible things about her. No. He promised. Then she heard the rest and she couldn't take it anymore. Her heart was beating wildly in her chest and not from excitement. It was hurting her. Her whole body was trembling. Emir just told her brother that he used her again for revenge. Emir once again broke her heart. This is a nightmare. They were having a baby for God's sake.

She couldn't stand still anymore and went inside. She saw Kemal was about to attack Emir and she screamed "ENOUGH".

Both men turned their heads towards her. A different expression on each one of them. Kemal looked at her sympathetically while Emir's expression surprised and shocked and there was another expression resembled fear and regret.

"Zeynep"

Kemal moved first and went to her.

"Come with me sister.. let me take you out of here.. come on"

"No brother.. you go. I need to talk with him" Zeynep said calmly not taking her eyes of Emir.

"Zeynep.. Please" Kemal pleaded. Then she looked at him.

"Kemal. Please leave now.. I'm coming home later".

Emir's heart stopped at that.. she's going to leave. He knew it. The way she looked at him was terrible. She won't forgive him. Hell. He won't forgive himself. He screwed up. God help him he screwed up big time.

Kemal left. Emir and Zeynep were alone in the room. Emir was about to say something but Zeynep raised her hands stopping him.

"How much of what you said was true??"
Zeynep asked him sternly.

"Zeynep. You weren't meant to hear any of that" Emir replied.

"BUT I DID.. I DID.. And my heart broke into a million piece"
Zeynep screamed at him.

"Zeynep look.. I don't know how much you heard but you have to know I didn't mean any of it.. your brother come to my house and attacked me and I lost it. I had to taint him. You know very well that you were not a plan.. I meant what I said before. I want a life with you" Emir said trying to reach to her.

"I KNOW.. I know you said these things to taint my brother. What hurts me is the fact that you said it in the first place.. Why did you disrespecte me in front of my brother ?? How could you? Why don't you ever respect me?"

"Zeynep .. Please. Listen to me.. you're right. And I'm sorry I didn't mean any of it. I don't know why I said these things. Your brother stepped on my nerves... "

"And you did what you always do.. using me as a knife to stab my brother in the heart.. just like aways.. you'll never change. This war will never be over.. but you know what. This is over" she referred to themselves and turned towards the door to leave. Emir followed her.

"Zeynep stop.. were are you going?"

"I'm leaving you"
Zeynep said while going up stairs to her room.

"Zeynep stop.. you're not going anywhere"

"WHAT ARE GOING TO DO.. LOCK ME UP"

"I'LL DO IT IF I HAD TO"

"THEN YOU'LL PROVE ME RIGHT.. YOU'LL NEVER CHANGE.. AND I'M NOT NIHAN"

They screamed at eachother while she was loading her suitcase then suddenly she felt dizzy and was about to fall on the floor but Emir caught her. He hugged her to his body tightly. And put her on the bed.. he screamed at his house staff to call a doctor.

"Kucugum. Please wake up.. Please I'm sorry.. just wake up"
Emir was so scared. Zeynep was about to leave him and now she just fainted. He was worried and helpless. He can't lose her. He won't.

The doctor was on his way but Zeynep had already woke up. She was about to get up but Emir stoped her.

"Lay down Zeynep. The doctor is on his way"

"I don't need your doctor let me go" Zeynep tried to get up again pushing him away from her.

"Let me go I'm leaving .. this is over. I shouldn't have trusted you.. I'm so stupid"

"Zeynep. You're not feeling well. I'm not letting you go anywhere you'll stay here and hear me out"

"I don't want to her you.. Emir, If there was a small fraction of respect you have for me.. you will let me go.. Right now" Zeynep said with a finality.

"I can't do that Zeynep"

"Then you've never cared about me.. go away.. I'm not staying at this house for one second"

"You know very well how much you mean to me.. Yes. You're right. I shouldn't have said what I said and I'm sorry.. look we came too far and I'm trying my best to change. Don't give up on me now"

Zeynep didn't reply. She was so hurt. But also she believed that he hadn't meant to hurt her. But what he said was horrible. And in front if her brother. It was so humiliating. How can she forget that?

"Zeynep. Say something"

"I.. I just need some time"

"Okay.. take all the time you need but don't leave"

"I'm leaving Emir.. I want to go home.. to my family. I need some time a way from you. Please. Just sometime"

Emir knew that nothing he could do would stop her. She was so mad, so hurt, and so disappointed in him. He couldn't keep his promise. He hurt her again and now she'll leave him. All alone.

Zeynep left the house with a small suitcase.
Emir had never felt such emptiness.  Not even when poyraz died.. he destroyed everything. He has lost everything. He has lost her.
