cold. that was all he felt. a harsh chill biting his skin through the fabric. it was painful, but easening at the same time. as if his mental pain could flush through the physical.
after a while, the cold feeling disappeared, and he opened his eyes.
what he saw was like in a movie. a beautiful sunny day in the fields, the grass, green as granny smith apples, danced to the brush of the wind, the arctic blue sky covered the area like a comfortable sheet of warmth along with a few, rather tiny yet fluffy white clouds. scattered about flowers of various different colours tainted the fields. all with a meaning and an unique feature. the sun flashed in jungkooks ebony coloured eyes, causing them to glimmer as if the brightest of stars orbited around them.
his mouth opened slightly in awe as he turned around, soaking the spectacular environment in. but he came to a halt when he saw him.
those beautifully shaped eyes of his, the cherry tinted plump lips he oh-so admired, the tiny figure that gave him the vibe of innocence.
but most importantly of all,
his smile.that odd, box-shaped smile he used to reveal when he felt the happiest. showing off his perfect, snow white teeth that, if it weren't for his tilted front left tooth, would be completely straight.
he wore a silky white blouse that moved with the wind, transparent enough to reveal his tiny figure beneath it. he also wore cute blue and white striped pants he oh-so loved wearing. jungkook never understood how he could like such clothing, himself preferring more darker colours, but now when he saw him, it was the most beautiful thing he could ever find to wear.
his own rose tinted lips parted to the sight of him. tongue connecting to the back of his lower teeth as if to say something. but no words came out. only indescribable tears. tears of a mixture of emotion. grief, ease, confusion, but most of all; joy.
joy.
the word was the closest to describe how he felt when his eyes connected to his. it felt as if his body could melt at any second, but the desire to confront him was stronger than any other urge.
and so he did.
his legs and feet began moving, although he was slow, he was gaining more and more strength with each step.
soon he was jogging, gulping and feeling extreme heat form around his eyes.
and finally, when he couldn't bear another second without having him in his arms, he ran.he ran faster than he had ever before. than any race, any bully or even any assaulter.
he just stood there, still as a sign, and smiled. but the closer jungkook got, the wider his arms spread, ready to be caught in his arms.
jeon appeared in front of him, tears welling in his eyes as he looked slightly down at the other.
"hi kookie." said taehyung with that sweet, sugary voice of his that jungkook couldn't get enough of.
his arms instantly coiled around him, pulling him close and holding him tight.sobs now erupted from the ravenett, tears spilling from his eyes, across his red tinted cheeks, and onto the blond.
taehyung hugged him back endearingly, digging his head in the crook of his neck as he used to. the feeling was the most wonderful feeling both of them ever felt. the sense of comfort, love and complete ease.
their warmth spread through each other like a wave, affection and passion filling every single vein of their body. their hearts felt like exploding. finally being in each other's arms, it was ecstatical. the definition of relief and glee.
jungkook only tightened the embrace, thoughts clouding his mind. the fact that taehyung was there with him, standing still on the soft grass, wind brushing their cheeks and moving their hair. he couldn't help but to use the moment to his advantage. he didn't know if he was going to be there forever with him, and there was no way he'd gamble such an option.
the sun that still shone down onto the males caused their tears to glimmer, the redness of their cheeks so evident, you'd think they were wearing makeup.
"taehyung..." jungkook parted their embrace to stare into his beloved's eyes. so starry he'd like to believe a galaxy rested within them. he wouldn't be shocked, for he was his world. his reason for living.
"it's okay, jungkook. i'm here.." taehyung whispered as he put his soft hand against the other's cheek."i'm so sorry.. i'm sorry for being weak, for leaving you.. for not telling you how i felt.. for not giving you a chance to save me.. i'm so sorry..." his head tilted down and the tears continued to fall.
jungkook bit his lip before pulling taehyung back into the hug. "it doesn't matter now. we're together now. and no one can hurt us. not your dad, not bullies, nobody." he reassured as he rocked them back and forth."i love you kookie" said the blonde with curved lips, hugging jungkook as if it was the last thing he'd ever be able to do.
"i love you too baby. i promise to never let you go. not again."
