Chapter 11

Mark's POV
I have to start doing excercises for my hip. I also have to start to try and walk around, so I use a walker. Jack texted me this morning and said today was his doc appt. I hope all goes well. He said he'd let me know. About an hour or so later I got a text from Jack

Hey the doc cleared me and I got my stitches out! But I still have to take it easy.

Ya. I was wondering if I could maybe come over and see you before I went back to my house

Mark
Yeah, that's fine there is nothing to do here tho

Jack was not joking when he said "see you in a bit". It was only 15 minutes or so after he texted me that he was at my door. I could hear my mom answer the door and talking to him. I couldn't decifer what they were talking about though. But it didn't take long until I heard Jack run up the stairs. He slowly opened my door and walked in being careful not to slam the door behind him. "Hi!" He squealed as he came over to me and gave me a big hug. "How are you feeling?" He asked as he sat on my bed. "Better. Not awesome. But better." I said. "Well that's better." He said silently chuckling to himself. "Whatever. But how are you?" I asked. "It still hurts like hell sometimes and I have to be super careful, but I should be able to go back to school tomorrow or the next day." He said. But as soon as he said that word school his smile immediately disappeared. I could tell he didn't want to go back. Which I didn't blame him. We both have a lot to catch up on and he'll be all alone if I'm not there. "It'll be okay." I said putting my hand on his cheek. "I know I just don't want to go back. At least not without you." He said looking into my eyes. "Well I'll be there with you in no time. You won't even know I'm gone." I said putting on a smile. "Anyway, can I see the scar." I asked. "What is up with you and seeing all my scars?" He asked. But his smile immediately faded and he looked down at his arm that was covered by his blue sweater. "I'm sorry. I didn't me-" he cut me off by pulling his shirt up a little ways so I could see the scar, "It looks better than the last time I saw it." I said trying to lighten the mood. Jack then tried to get up and leave, but I was able to grab his arm and pull him down next to me. "I love you, you know that." I whispered in his ear softly. "Yeah I know. I love you too." He said. And we both drifted off into sleep

Jack's POV
I had to go to my doc appt today. I was kinda happy and nervous. I wanted the stitches out but I didn't want to go back to school.

*Time skip to the Hospital*

"Alright Sean looks like your all good to go." The doc said after he got done getting all the stitches out. "But you still have to take it easy. No roughhousing, or sports. But you can go back to school." He said with a smirk on his face. We left the hospital and I texted Mark.
Jack
The doc cleared me I got my stitches out! But I have to take it easy

Anyway I was wondering if I could come visit you before I went back to my house

Ya, but there is nothing to do here

Jack
That's ok! I just miss you so much. I'll see you in a bit, love you.

Mark
See ya love you too

I got to Mark's house in about 15 minutes. His mom Carol answered the door and I could see his dad walk over to what looked like the bathroom. "Jack!" Carol said with open arms. "Hi." I said hugging her back. "How have you been?" She asked. "I'm good. I just got my stitches out today and I get to go back to school soon." I said. "Well that's good. I suppose you're here to see Mark." She said with a smile. "Yeah." I replied back. "Okay well he's upstairs but before you go, I just wanted to say that I would like you to go easy on him. I don't want him feeling bad about the car crash. And he's going to want to do anything you do." She said. "I would never do anything like that to Mark. I want to keep him just as happy and healthy as you do." I said with a smile as I practically jogged upstairs. I opened Mark's door slowly. I made sure that I didn't slam the door behind me either. When I saw him I ran over to him and gave him a big hug. "Hi!" I squealed. "How are you feeling?" I asked getting off of him and sitting on the edge of the bed. "Better. Not awesome. But better." He said. "That's better." I said as I silently chuckled to myself. "Whatever. How are you." Mark asked. "It still hurts like hell and I have to take it easy. But I can go back to school tomorrow or the next day." I said as my smile faded. I didn't want to go back to school. Getting beat up is not taking it easy. And Mark won't be there with me. But I don't want to worry him so I tried to perk up. "It'll be okay." He said as he put his on my cheek. "I know, I just don't want to go back. At least not without you." I said looking into his eyes. I love his eyes. They're so pretty. "Well I'll be there in no time. You won't even know I'm gone." He said with a smile. "Anyway can I see the scar." He asked biting his lip. "What is up with you and looking at all my scars?" But my smile immediately faded and I looked down at my covered arm. "I'm sorry I didn't me-" I cut him off as I pulled my shirt up a little ways to show him the scar. "It looks better than the last time I saw it." I pulled my shirt down and tried to get up to leave, but even in the state Mark was in he was able to grab my arm and pull me down next to him."I love you, you know that." He whispered softly in my ear. It sent chills up and down my spine. "Yeah I know. I love you too." Then we both drifted off into sleep.

*Time skip. Mark's POV*

I woke up around 5:30 and saw that Jack was gone. I grabbed my phone and texted him to see where he was at.

Hey where'd you go??
