Isaza started toward her but looked back at Asha. Asha. Her niece. She was waiting at the tunnel for Isaza, looking very excited about running. This was more important, though. Isaza reviled in Asha's newfound wolf powers but this was more important.
'Maybe I could bring her with me to see Zelia..?' Isaza thought. She thought a little bit longer and eventually came to the decision that she could bring Asha with her. Asha wouldn't know what was going on, but Isaza could still bring her.
"Asha!" The white wolf called. Asha looked up and came toward her, wagging her tail. "Yes?" Asha asked. "Come on. I want you to meet Zelia." Isaza woofed. She started toward the spot where Zelia was but she was no longer there.
"Where is she.." Isaza wondered.
"Who?" Asha asked, coming up behind her.
"Zelia. She was right there." Isaza said, pointing with her paw at the spot the assassin had been.
"Does she happen to be a smoky gray and black wolf with teal eyes?" Asha remarked.
Isaza stared at her in wonderment. "Yeah, why?" "Because she's behind you." Isaza jumped and whirling around, found herself face to face with Zelia."Zelia." Isaza said curtly. "How was your mission?" The two wolves and Asha had traveled away from the prying eyes of the rest of the camp and were now sheltered in a corner, outside the Alpha's den.
Zelia smiled, whisking her tail back and forth. "It was fine Isaza. The Black Wolves are contained in a smaller territory right outside ours, about 12 feet away from the Southern border."
Isaza snarled nervously. "12 feet away from the Southern Border? That's pretty close Zelia." Zelia nodded. "I know. I was thinking.." Zelia looked around nervously, even though there was no one there. "I was thinking...could I bring a small number of scouts to come with me to maybe enforce the borders? Some warriors too, and maybe.. a Sentinel?"Isaza thought about this for a moment. 'Hmm.. that would work for the small reinforcing patrol. The scouts would go ahead first and report back to Zelia, then there would be warriors there as backup if a fight broke out..but why a Sentinel?'
She repeated her thoughts back to Zelia, who flicked her tail. "The scouts barely know who I am..the warriors don't know at all and with a Sentinel, they would listen to them easier." Isaza nodded, already deciding who would go. "Okay. How does this sound?" The white wolf said to Zelia. "A two pairs of experienced scouts, three warriors and Zaren as a Sentinel. You can pick which scouts and warriors you want to bring."
Zelia nodded, already relieved and excited. "Thanks Isaza. I know who I want to bring, but I'll bring it up with one of the Alpha's if you don't mind." Zelia trotted off in the direction of the Alpha den after Isaza and Zelia had said their goodbyes."What are the Black Wolves?" Asha asked, curiously. She had changed back into a human when Zelia and Isaza were talking about the other wolves and was now sitting on a rock, right below Isaza. Isaza looked up at Asha. "Hmm? Oh, Black Wolves are..nothing you need to concern yourself with." She said. "Now, come on. Let's get Quince and get you home." The wolf added. They started walking back toward the forest.
Asha sighed and walked alongside Isaza, heading to the tunnel. There was a moment of silence, which Asha broke by asking her question.
"So, can I visit Pack Cazador?"
Isaza nodded. "M'hmm. You can visit, but only in your wolf form. And I'll visit you in my human form."
Asha stared at her quizzically. "Do I know you? Do you live close to me?" She asked. Isaza swished her tail gracefully. 'Do you know me? I'm your aunt for wolves sake.' The white wolf thought. Asha took this as a no.
"Okay, so how will you visit me in your human form if I don't know you.." The brown haired girl asked, seemingly bewildered. Isaza stopped and turned back toward the girl. "Oh, believe me you'll know." She said.So...PLOT TWIST. ISAZA IS ASHA'S AUNT. WHO KNEW THAT WOULD HAPPEN. ME! I knew!
