Beautiful Stars (Crosshairs x Drift)

The Long Way Back Home

In the morning Drift was the first up, the triple changer transformed into his helicopter form and flew off a few miles to see how the conditions were and if there was any places to stay along the way in case Crosshairs needed some rest. There were a few places for them to rest until they got to Yeager's land. As he flew back they all seem to be awake now, The sun was shining brightly. Drift told them about the pit stops and their fairly long journey, Cross was all for it, "Been needing a drive anyways" Crosshairs said, "Well? What are we waitin' here for? Let's ride!" Hound added, Transforming into his vehicle alt mode, Crosshairs doing the same, at a slower pace though, Drift transformed into his Bugatti Veyron.. to make it fair. And to stay closer to Crosshairs, just in case.
They drove off and to Cross' surprise, he felt pretty good, that is until they were around two miles away. He really couldn't go any longer. "Are you sure Crosshairs?" Drift asked, "Yeah.." Cross slowed down to a stop, "Awe, come on Cross! It's like 2miles from here, just pull through a little longer" Hound said, Drift transformed back to his robot form and shot him a look that made him shut up right then and there. "We can rest here, it's been a long day anyway." Drift stated, and that's what they did. There was little to no trouble sleeping that night, thankfully.

The next morning they got up early and continued to drive along the road to base. Once there Hound gave Cross Anesthetics so he would be passed out while he properly fixed his wound, Drift took the responsibility to talk to Prime of their disappearance, and to Drift's surprise Prime understood and thanked Drift for being a calm and responsible leader in his absence.

That night as Cade, and Tessa slept comfortably in their beds.. with their doors locked. While Shane slept on the couch, Drift and the others were outside sitting on a hill(/cliff) looking at the stars, figuring out where the other planets were, and admiring one of earth beauties.

Optimus sat at the far right, Bumblebee sat next to him, then came Hound, then Drift, and last to the left Crosshairs. They sat and stare at the stars, the same stars that sooth Cross to recharge only few nights ago. The same beautiful stars Drift showed him.

"hey drift?" cross whispered, "yes Crosshairs?" drift answered. Crosshairs carefully placed his hand on Drift's. He flinched, but didn't make any other move for him to get off. "Thank you. for showing me this." If Cross was looking, he'd see a light red radiating off of Drift's cheeks, "You're welcome." drift said smiling while cross intertwine his hand with Drift's, and with a small gasp of drift and swift move from Crosshairs, their lips meet for a bereft moment so no one would see, but in that one moment felt the kiss was more than a second, it was magical bliss.
Drift later gently rested his head on Cross' shoulder, and they all watched the stars until they were fast in recharge.
Cross was the last one up, he look at his teammates in recharge, then to Drift.
He bent over to his audioreseptors and whispered
Thank You For Showing Me These Beautiful Stars.
