                     Nick's POV

12:30 pm

When tomorrow comes
I'll be on my own
Drinking wine and juice
With a lil brandy
When tomorrow comes
When tomorrow comes
When tomorrow comes...

"Dang, my voice sounds so good!", I compliment myself even though I know I sang in a terrible high pitched voice. But I still enjoy singing and I was singing to no one in particular, just to myself as I walk down the streets of this beautiful city.

I turn the corner on the usual route I take at this time. I wait for Bob, a beggar and a good friend of mine, to appear from the side alley, today I've brought him a good cheese sandwich;twenty bucks and some piece of cake. Today I remembered that it's his birthday and the least I could do was bring him something special.

"Hey Bob, happy birthday, how you doing man!?", I greet him genuinely happy.

"I lost my job, so that means I won't be able to come around anymore. I'm sorry man!", I tell him feeling ashamed of what I did back at work. Now I have only six months of surviving with the money I have left, until than I should already have a new job.Bob steps forward and clears his throat to gain my attention, I look at him and he smiles a small smile.

"Welcome to the club, man!",he tries to joke, but I don't laugh and he steps back with a serious facial expression. I know that he feels my pain and I know for a fact that he's not willing to let me go.

"So I guess this is goodbye.", I say, hoping he would accept it.

Bob doesn't say anything back, but instead walks away, going back to where he came from. Before that I didn't miss the tears that formed in his eyes. He's terribly upset...
