"how did you like your first day of school jiminie?" seokjin asks after arriving home. they had walked from school to their house along with jungkook and namjoon that lived in the same direction jin's house was.

"it was fun! i actually really liked it, but i didn't get to enjoy it as much because i was so tired. it's probably the jet lag and my body still being on south korean time," jimin replies, taking his shoes off before going into the living room to lay down on one of the sofas.

"you should go take a nap if you're tired jimin. you don't have any schoolwork you have to worry about doing as of now, so enjoy it while you can."

jimin agrees with jin and goes upstairs and into their shared bedroom and plops down onto his bed before closing his eyes and falling asleep.

when jimin wakes up, jin's parents arrived from work and it was six in the afternoon. he napped for a total of four hours.

he gets up and puts on a black hoodie and sleepily walks out of his room. he walked down the stairs and is greeted by mrs. kim making food and seokjin doing his homework on the table. seokjin notices his presence first and smiles before greeting him.

"hey jiminnie! how was your nap?" he asks, looking up from his schoolwork.

"it was good. i'm not tired anymore." jimin replies before going toward mrs. kim and offering to help. she declines and instead asks how his day went.

"it was really fun! seokjin introduced me to his friends so i think i made friends. everything was so different here from back home. i'm excited to go back tomorrow."

mrs. kim smiles kindly at jimin to show she was paying attention while she was preparing the food for dinner.

"i'm glad you enjoyed school jimin. maybe your enthusiasm for school can rub off on seokjin," she jokes and smiles playfully at seokjin who had looked at her in fake offence. "oh, before i forget, your chore will be to clean the bathroom and to take out the trash. it's pretty simple so i expect you to do it."

"yes mrs. kim"

the rest of the day passes with mr. kim coming home from work and all 4 of them eating dinner. mr. kim also asks jimin how his day went and jimin excitedly explains the events of his day.

it was now december, marking three months since jimin's arrival in the united states. during those three months, jimin became more comfortable at the kim household and becomes close with seokjin and his new friends. he becomes especially close to taehyung, even though he's almost always with hoseok.

the winter weather in california was crazy to say the least. one day it would be hot and the other it would be too cold. other days it'd be cold in the morning and then get hot in the afternoon, only for it to get cold again. today was just too cold for everyone.

it was lunch time currently and like always, jungkook and taehyung were arguing over a small matter. they were arguing about who's pronunciation of korean is worse.

"jungkook, you don't even speak korean! how are you gonna have good pronunciation if you can't speak it to begin with!?"

"jimin said my pronunciation is good and he's from korea so that means my pronunciation is fine!"

"he probably just said that to be nice!"

"fine! we'll ask what he thinks then!"

jimin was listening to every word they were saying, always finding their arguments entertaining. he gets up and says in the best english he can, "you both have good korean, it doesn't matter how you speak because either way you won't sound like a complete native because you're not raise and born in korea. i'm not say your korean is bad, it's really good actually, but it don't sound like complete native."
