They landed almost 12 hours later, their bodies awake, as they trudged through the busy airport, bags in their arms and snapbacks over their heads. They had spent the whole flight talking, making a plan, and staying awake. Their biggest concern was not being seen, and by falling asleep on the plane, they would risk their identity getting out.
"I've had a friend come and pick us up. He's right outside." she said, as they followed behind her. While waiting for their bags, a a family next to them struck up a conversation.
"Are you guys visiting?" the mother asked, as the two boys nodded and Y/n shook her head.
"I live here. It's their first time visiting LA."
She nodded, smiling at Tom and Y/n. "Are you guys together? You look so adorable!"
Tom nodded, wrapping an arm over her shoulder, Y/n's hands coming up to lace her fingers with his own.
"How long?"
"A year and a half."
The mother smiled, before she grabbed her baggage, saying goodbye to the three and disappearing with her son.
"We almost got caught." Y/n sighed, as she held Tom's hand, Harrison hooking his arm through her's before leaving the terminal, and heading outside, seeing Jacob leaning against a black Porsche.
"Let's go." he nodded at them, getting into the backseat, Y/n taking the driver's side, Tom in the passenger. Harrison was behind with Jacob, as they drove off towards the safe house.
In a matter of minutes, there were 3 black vans following them, as Y/n placed her hands at 10 and 2, before swerving to the right harshly.
Harrison and Jacob gripped onto the handles of the door as Y/n accelerated, quickly weaving through the traffic.
"We have to throw them off our trail." Harrison said, as he looked behind him, before hearing a gunshot and bending down. "They're shooting!"
"C'mon, c'mon!" Y/n said, her hands gripping the steering wheel as she started to head to the nearest highway, hoping to put some distance between their car and the agents.
Using the horn to her advantage, she managed to clear a couple blocks before turning to the exit, heading straight to the nearby highway. The vans followed, Y/n glancing at her rearview mirrors, Tom watching her swerve through the traffic, Harrison and Jacob keeping their heads low just in case they started shooting at them.
"You need to grab the steering wheel for me, Tom." she turned to him quickly, as he nodded and grabbed the steering wheel, maneuvering the car as Y/n pushed the car seat back, before pulling Tom onto the seat, sitting on his lap.
"This probably isn't safe, but I need you to drive while I get them off our trail." Y/n sighed, Tom keeping his eyes on the road, both hands on the steering wheel and his arm wrapped around her waist. Holding her hand behind Tom, Harrison handed her a gun, as she loaded it, before opening the window and leaning out.
Tom, still holding on to her waist, swerved down the highway, as Y/n brought the gun up, her arms outstretched before aiming at the van's passenger side, and shooting. The bullet cracked the glass a little, as she shot again, breaking the glass, as the agents inside ducked, one bringing out his handgun and aiming straight at her.
"Look out!" Harrison screamed as Tom pulled her back inside, the agent shooting and breaking the glass from outside.
"On three." Harrison said, as he grabbed his own gun, loading it before starting to count down, his gaze locked on Y/n. "One.. two... three!"
They both leaned out the window, aiming their guns at the vans and shooting, injuring 3 agents and killing 2. One van swerved into the traffic as they were left with 2, their passengers shooting straight at both of them.
"Shit!" Y/n exclaimed, as she dropped her gun, gripping her arm and retreating her body back inside.
"Were you shot?" Tom asked as she nodded, gripping her arm, blood oozing from the wound, between her fingers and down her arm. Be cursed under his breath, as Harrison stopped shooting, turning to them and grabbing Y/n's waist. He pulled her back, Tom bringing his arm over her body to grip the steering wheel as Y/n was placed on Harrison's lap, his arms grabbing the end of her white shirt and ripping it, wrapping the cloth around her wound. Her shirt resembled a crop top, threads coming loose from the edges as the makeshift bandage had red spots, the blood seeping through.
"Hurry up, Tom!" Jacob exclaimed, as Tom accelerated, getting the vans off their trail and heading to the nearest exit.
"Where is the safe house?"
Y/n didn't answer, as her eyes started closing, the amount of blood loss affecting her system as she started to slowly lose consciousness. "No, no, no, stay with me, Y/n." Harrison started to lightly palm her cheek, as she briefly opened her eyes, looking around and swaying.
"Where is the safe house?"
Harrison quickly gave him directions, as they made their way there, Y/n already passed out in Harrison's arms, her white bandage already halfway soaked in blood. As soon as Tom pulled up to the driveway, as they flung open their doors, Harrison carrying Y/n in his arms. Jacob grabbed the bags as Tom opened the front door, Harrison making his way downstairs, where a medical table was already placed in the middle of the room. It's tabletop was littered with papers as Tom flung them off the top and Harrison placed her down, working to look for medical supplies as Tom tried to wake her up.
"Harrison hurry!" he nodded, as he found rubbing alcohol, bandages, towels, tweezers and a metal bowl.
"I found them! Cut the bandage off her arm!" Tom did as he was told, as Harrison started to cover the cloth in the rubbing alcohol, before Jacob ran inside, his breathing heavy as his eyes landed on a wounded Y/n.
"Is she okay?"
Their eyes were casted down, as Harrison sighed, before shrugging his shoulders lightly.
"I just hope so." Tom thought, as his thumb rubbed small circles on her wrist.
