The sun's almost settling when they decided to go home. They were telling each other stories on the way back and having a great time to pay attention to their surroundings not noticing they've lost track of their way. Yugyeom was laughing with pure joy because of the stories Bambam told him. He found out the difference in their personalities. He the quiet and obedient one and Bambam the mischievous type. Bambam recalled an incident when they spent their holiday on their grandparent's farm, he tried to take a newly born chick from its mother, wanting to raise one of his own. He thought it was a beast running after him but it was the chick's mother trying to take it back. He runs at full speed he thought he would run out of air. Thankfully, his grandfather was immediately there to save him. Yugyeom burst out laughing, imagining the incident. Bambam smiled after he saw the joy in his friend's eyes. He was about to tell another story when Yugyeom came to an abrupt stop.

"Bambam, where are we?," Yugyeom asked when he found out they are at the foot of a deep forest. It's already dark and the sun is fully set. Bambam looked around and gasped when he saw where they were.

"We're here," Bambam said in a bare whisper.

"We're here? I don't think you live here Bambam," Yugyeom chuckled at his friend's reply.

"No I don't. This must be the haunted forest everyone's telling about. We haven't been paying attention,"Bambam said with a tremor in his voice.  "We shouldn't be here, Yugyeom."

"Should we look inside? You can tell your friends you went here, so they won't tease you."

"We don't have to. It's scary and it's already dark, are you not scared?" Bambam asked him. He thought Yugyeom must be out of his mind to ask him such a thing. If there's anything Bambam's afraid of , it's the darkness because he doesn't know what lingers there. What if there are monsters or ghost or even wild animals ready to pounce on them? No, he won't risk his life.

"I don't get scared," Yugyeom's answer pulled him from his thoughts.

"You don't?," He looked at him as if he don't believe him. Nonsense.

"Yes. I don't. It's okay Bambam. I'll protect you, because you are my best friend now."

Yugyeom pulled him inside even before he could protest. As soon as they were inside the cold air quickly unnerved him and he was overcome with spine-chilling sensation that there are unpleasant creatures watching them. They became careful on their steps so they will not draw any attention if ever something or someone might be lingering around.

"Yugyeom let's just go back," Bambam whispered.

"We can't just yet," Yugyeom whispered back. He continued to walk ahead of Bambam.

Bambam followed him, not taking his eyes away from him. Not wanting to lost sight. He was busy following him when  branch fell out of a tree, startling him he tried to reached for Yugyeom when he tripped on a rock sticking out on the ground. He whimpered in pain, Yugyeom turned around when he heard him.

"Bambam! are you hurt?," Yugyeom asked in a near shout. He ran to him and saw blood trickling down his knees. He looked at Bambam and saw him crying. "I'm sorry Bam. I wasn't able to protect you and now you're hurt. I shouldn't have force you here." Yugyeom said, crying now because of his friend.

"It's okay Yugyeom, it's not that bad. Let's just get out of here,"

"Okay, can you walk? Here, I'll hold you," Yugyeom assist him and friend to find a way to get out.

They started backtracking hoping to find the way out but to no avail. They keep going in circles. Tired now, they decided to rest under a tree. They keep sighing , hopeless now. They thought to spend the night there and wait for the morning when they heard a sound from afar. Straining their breath to hear where the sound was coming from. As they waited to hear another sound, Yugyeom grab a fallen twig to protect them, though it might be futile. A second later, they heard another sound but much clearer.

"It's Gumiho! It's Gumiho, Yugyeom."

"Who is gumiho?"

"My dog, my dog found us." The they heard another yap from his pet, followed by shouts.

"Mom! Dad!, we're here!" Yugyeom shouted, happy hearing his parent's voice. Moments later they were found. Both their mothers were crying due to worry. Yugyeom immediately went to his mother.

"I'm sorry Mom for making you worry.I'm fine now but Bambam is hurt,we've got to help him because it's my fault.

"It's okay now son, just don't do this again. I don't know what I'll do if I lost you," His mother said.

Bambam was carried back by Yugyeom's father. He was still crying while apologizing to his own mother.

"Mama, I'm sorry I disobeyed you again. I promise to be a good child from now on," He promised his mother, the incident must have terrified him lots.

"It's okay now son, I'm just glad you are both okay.Let's just go home."

"Mama?"

"Yes son?"

"I'm hungry."

The all laughed after Bambam's statement. The two boys told the incident to their parents on their way back. After that incident, the following days were filled with fun happenings. And now it's time for Yugyeom's family to bid farewell.

"We're leaving now Bambam. I had lots of fun here. It's fun playing with you," Yugyeom said, the sadness in his tone apparent.

"Me too, take care Yugyeom,"Bambam said, crying.

"Will you forget me?," Yugyeom asked.

"You are my best of friend. Of course, I will never forget you,"or so he says.

And so do I," Yugyeom smiled at him "You really won't forget about me?" he asked again.

"Never Ever."
