Subscribers - Four million, nine hundred thousand, two hundred and eighty-seven.

"I can reassure everyone here that the events of last night are not a reflection of who I am today. In the short time that I've been signed to Elektra Records, I've learned that my previous behavior should stay in the past," Patrick paused as he flipped to the next notecard, his face twisting in utter disgust at the words.

He slouched down in his seat next to me, his foot tapping up and down repeatedly.

The nervous tick was about to drive me insane.

"Though last night was a slip up, I would like to thoroughly apologize for anything that I did to offend, or to directly affect anyone." Our resident YouTuber tossed the script back onto Rich's desk without any added commentary.

That was mark one on the 'Patrick was acting weird' scale.

"You'll be reading that on camera and uploading a full apology to your YouTube channel," Rich said. The man sat up a bit in his chair, clasping his hands together and resting his forearms on his desk as he spoke.

I frowned at the all too formal scene. In what world would Patrick Neili ever apologize?

Even I knew that when he had first signed on to one of the best sublets of Warner Brothers Records, they had gone after him for his potential to be the damn bad boy. I would never understand why they were so upset now that he was living up to his full potential.

"Natalie," Rich's voice was gruff as he shot me a glance. "As per your contract, we're going to need you to be in that video with him"

"What?" I asked, leaning in a bit in confusion.

Rich nearly laughed back in my face, "you get to make your YouTube debut, sweetheart."

I felt almost as nauseous as Patrick had looked earlier. "You want me to be the loving and supportive girlfriend after he went out and hooked up-"

"I don't hook up," Patrick interrupted. "And I definitely didn't last night."

"You still made out with that one girl," I countered. "Probably five others the way people have been looking at me all morning. Hanna's still sending me all the articles and photos everyone's been posting."

Patrick shook his head at me, somehow finding the gumption to hold back whatever 'jealous girlfriend' accusation he had bouncing around in the empty head of his.

Yeah right.

"I'm not going to appear with him for at least a week," I said, crossing my arms over my chest.

"Your contract-"

"My contract," I repeated. "Didn't say anything about Patrick cheating on me during the first week of our relationship. If we want this to be believable, we need a so-called break."
