Resonance is a phenomenon in which a vibrating system or external force drives another system to oscillate with greater amplitude at specific frequencies. Frequencies at which the response amplitude is a relative maximum are known as the system's resonant frequencies or resonance frequencies.
I thought Soul and I were meant to be... our souls could Resonate as one. Our power could be great.. what's wrong with me?!
I throw clothes into a suit case as fast as I can. Not caring about the noise. I open my bedroom door to see Soul sleeping on the floor. When my door opens he jumps up.

I sat outside Makas bedroom door for I don't know how long listening to her cries. Wishing I could help and feeling terrible knowing I caused her this pain. Eventually her crying died down and I guess I fell asleep but now, she's standing in her doorway looking down at me. She has a suit case in her hand and her face is extremely puffy.
"W-where are you going...?"
"I don't know. I'll get on a train and go somewhere away from you. Since you don't like me being here and I clearly have feelings for you I choose not to live with heartbreak everyday plus you're finding a new partner, remember? You don't need me."
She looks down and gives me a sad smile.
"Maka, please don't go! I didn't mean it." I'm standing now.. looking into her sad eyes.
"Yes you did Soul. If you're only being nice now because you want to be a death scythe.. it's too late."
"No I didn't! I'm being nice because I hate seeing pain in your eyes. Pain cause by me! I love you so much! Even if you don't have a body like Blair's. You're perfect. They way you crinkle your nose when you're into a good book. The way you blush when we end up cuddling on the couch. I was pretending not to love you for your own good. You deserve so much more and I was trying to convince myself you weren't good enough for me!... please don't go."

He's just saying that because he's so close to being a death scythe... if he cared about you he wouldn't have pushed you to have the new scares you now sport on your wrists. He wouldn't have made you feel like you need to dress more provocatively. He wouldn't have made you feel like you aren't good enough for anyone.
I just stared at him unable to say anything. He grabs my arms to quickly that I don't have time to hide the pain in my voice when he touches the open wounds that litter my lower arm. His face goes blank.
"You didn't?!"
I look down he pulls my sleeve up and sees the marks in my arms. My battle scars.
