(Alyssa's POV)

I wake up to the sound of Dean talking to Sam outside of a gas station.  

"Alright, I figure we'd hit Tucumcari by lunch, then head south, hit Bisbee by midnight".  He looks at Sam who is not answering and is not paying attention.  "Sam wears women's underwear".  I stifle a laugh.  Sam looks up at Dean,

"I've been listenin', I'm just busy".  Dean looks at him. 

"Busy doing what" I ask him.  Sam looks at me,

"Reading e-mails".  

"E-mails from who" Dean asks.  

"Friends from school" Sam says.  Dean scoffs and says,

"Seriously".  I look at Dean and give him a glare.  He flinched a little at my glare.  

"Oh God" Sam exclaims.  I sit up and look at him, 

"What"?  

"In this email from a girl named Rebecca, one of those friends of mine".  

"What about her" I prompt him.  

"I went to school with her, and her brother, Zack. She says Zack's been charged with murder. He's been arrested for killing his girlfriend. Rebecca says he didn't do it, but it sounds like the cops have a pretty good case".  

"Dude what kind of people have you been hanging out with" Dean asks him.  Sam shakes his head,

"No man, I know Zach he's no killer.  We are going to help them out.  They are my friends".  Sam and Dean end up fighting over whether or not to go or not I just sit there waiting for their answer.  We end up going to his friends house to help out.  

"Hi Becky" Sam says giving her a hug.  Dean and I walk forward shaking her hand.  When we step back Dean's hand finds mine and he holds it.  Sam looks over at us smiling.  We walk into Rebecca's house and sit down while Sam talks to Rebecca.  Dean plays with my red hair absentmindedly.  After a while Sam asks Rebecca if she wants us to go to the crime scene to look around.  She hesitates until Sam says that Dean and I are cops.  She agrees and we go to the house where it all happened.  

When we walk in we all take a sharp breath and look around at the mess.  Dean and I look around and we go to ask Rebecca if she could get her hands on the security footage for us.  She claims that she already has it and we go back to her house to look it over.  

Sam sees a glare in "Zach's" eyes and we determine that it is a shapeshifter that is terrorizing these couples.  We go look around his house again, this time outside not inside.  We find out that the shapeshifter was hiding out in the sewers.  

Rebecca calls Sam and accuses him of lying, saying that there is no Dean Winchester or Alyssa Carter detectives.  Sam tries to reason with her but she tells him to leave her and her family alone.  Sam hangs up the phone looking defeated.  Dean basically tells him "I told you so" and I smack him on the back of the head.  He brings his hand up to his head and says,

"Ow!! What was that for".  I shake my head and said,

"You don't talk to your brother like that.  He is upset and you are being a jerk".  Dean looks at me and then at Sam and he says,

"Sorry Sam".  He looks at me and says,

"There you happy?"  I shake my head at him and say,

"Now you are just being an asshole".  He stares at me.  I start walking away.  Dean catches up to me.  

"I am sorry.  I didn't mean to make you upset.  It would just be easier if Sam were like me.  Then I would be able to understand him better".  I smile slightly.  

"He is more like you than you think".  Dean looks confused and asks,

"What do you mean?"  I open my mouth to answer but Sam walks up and says,

"Sorry to interrupt but we got a shapeshifter to catch".  We nod and get back to business.  We go into the sewers again and this time the shapeshifter catches us down there and he punches Sam to the ground and starts running.  We start running after him and he gets away.  We all split up and look for him and then we all meet back at the car.  Sam gets back later than us.  Sam says something to Dean and Dean pulls his gun on him saying,

"What have you done with my brother"?  Sam responds by hitting Dean with a crowbar, I cry out in shock and Sam turns around and comes at me.  I try to stop him but he was too fast.  He hits me with a crowbar and I black out.  

When I come to I am tied to a pole with Dean on my other side.  Sam must be where the shapeshifter is.  Dean comes to and he looks over at me and he starts untying his hand ties.  He gets free and comes to help me out.  We get up and brush ourselves off.  We see Rebecca sitting down here as well.  She says that the shapeshifter turned into her.  We start running to the street and we go to Rebecca's house knowing that that is where the shapeshifter would have gone.  

When we get there we hear Sam facing off with the shifter with his face and we run in there and we shoot the shifter right when we see him shifting into Dean's form.  He falls to the floor dead.  

Dean and I are waiting by the car while Sam talks to Rebecca.  Dean looks up from the map he was studying and says to me,

"So how is Sam more like me than I know"?  I smile.  

"Why do you think Sam went back into hunting?  He couldn't stay away like you can't.  Sam knows about the same amount of stuff that you do and more reasons than that".  Dean smiles at me.  

"You're right".  I smirk,

"Of course I am".  Dean rolls his eyes.  Sam walks up and we get into the car.

"I have to say I am going to miss it" Dean says.  Sam and I look confused.  

"Miss what" I ask.  Dean looks at me and says,

"How many times am I going to get to see my own funeral".  Sam and I just roll our eyes.  We continue driving down the road, me smiling thinking about what Dean and I talked about.  I really think that Dean is starting to believe that him and Sam are similar and that is what I am hoping will bring them closer together.  Dean looks back at me through the rearview mirror and smiles.  I smile back and then we both look away, moment over.  I know Dean and I are going to be okay.  At least for now we are.

So I got an update done. Yay!!!  Oh and I know the end where I had Sam be the one that got knocked down and had his form taken was supposed to be Dean. Trust me I know.  (I am supernatural obsessed).  But I decided to make it Sam to be different and so that Dean and Alyssa could be together basically the whole time since they are the main-main people in this story.
