Time In The Tower

The king and queen were awoken to a loud crash. They rushed to the nursery and called the guards. A hooded figure stood over Rapunzel's crib. 

"Get away from my daughter!" the queen screeched.

"You stole something from me. Now I'm going to steal something from you," the witch regally announced. "I'll make you a deal: Your people will never starve if you give up Rapunzel without a fuss," 

"Okay " the king replied.

"Fred, we can't. We'll find another way. Rapunzel is our hope," Arianna was hysterical with tears. 

"Take her and be quick about it. Make sure you hold up your end of the bargain, or I will have you killed!" King Frederic shouted at the witch. 

The princess didn't wake nor stir, sleeping soundly.
