Time In The Tower

Returning Home

She ran for miles through the thick underbrush and through multiple villages. In the distance, she heard two girls talking; 

" Ana, I think we should stop this. It's been six years. She's not coming home"  

" Driz, remember what grandpa and grandma said? It took Mom 11 years to return to them. Six years is nothing. We have to keep looking, just like the story with Snow White... " 

" Believing in even the possibility of a happy ending is a powerful thing, " they said in unison. 

Realizing it was her girls, Rapunzel ran and shouted: "Girls!"

Anastasia and Drizella ran and hugged their mother. Rapunzel kissed their foreheads to make sure they were real.

" Girls, what is all the noise? There are people trying to sleep! " Marcus shouted, not seeing his wife. 

" Daddy, Mom has returned. She's home, " Anastasia said.

" Ana, don't lie to get out of trouble. "

" No, My Love, she's right. I have returned to you. I escaped and followed the lanterns," Rapunzel said, making her presence known to her husband. 

He ran to her and engulfed her into a breath-taking hug, kissing every spot on her face. His love had returned.
