The sirens blared loudly as the officers surrounded the car. Blood stained my clothes with my forehead having several cuts and bruises. I backed away but the pain made me limp. I didn't want anyone to talk to me about what had just happened. It hurt to even move with glass shards in my limbs. But I tried to live through it. I looked back and noticed that I hadn't made it far. I felt my legs become jelly and collasped, falling onto a hard surface. Everything around me went black.

I awoke to find myself surrounded by familiar faces. No, wait. They were ghosts. A doctor walked into the room with Aunt Kiki. Aunt Kiki looked afraid with her olive green eyes darting to me. I saw a smile spread across her face as she lit up with joy. She then ran over to me and hugged me tight. I noticed that I had bandages on my forehead which stank of blood. "Wh-What happened to th-th-them?" I stuttered out. The doctor sighed and looked at his clipboard. Without a word, I knew that my family was dead. They were killed in the crash.

Quinn, Mom, Dad, Alice, dead. I should've died with them. I should die now. "What's the damage?" Aunt Kiki asked. "He broke a few bones but he'll be fine." The doctor reported. From that day on, I spent a few weeks in the hospital then was released.

But little did they know of the shadow following me.
