Chapter 14: Black Magic

I wake up the next morning feeling giddy, excited because this is the first actual date I've ever been on. Kole never really took me out unless we were in a group so I never counted it as a date, it's 10:45 and since I'm on break I don't have to go to school today to turn in work, which I thank god for because sometimes it gets a little annoying having to go to school twice a week just to "have the experience". I sit down and do my makeup, then let my hair out of my silk scarf I put on over night, I walk to my bedside table and check the weather on my phone, it's 45 degrees out so I grab my medium wash jeans, a black knit turtle neck with a thin black belt on my hips, my combat boots and a light cream trench coat. I walk to my dresser and grab my graduation ring and my name plate necklace, I spray my "very sexy" body spray and look in my mirror, as I stand in front of the mirror Black Magic starts to play and I start to dance, laughing at myself because I can't dance. I hear the doorbell ring and I grab my backpack and my phone. I walk down the stairs to see the house is empty and the lights are off in the living room, I open the door and see Elijah leaning against the doorframe

"Hey" he says taking the sun glasses of his face and placing them on his head "you look great" he leans in giving me a side hug and a kiss on the temple "thank you, you don't look too bad yourself" I say closing and locking the door "so what we doing?" I ask as we walk to the car "well I thought we could go play mini golf, and then the arcade, and maybe get some food?" He says opening my door for me "thank you, yeah that sounds great" I say getting in the passenger seat.

30 mins later we pull up to the to the mini golf course, I go to grab money out my bag "what're you doing?" He says reaching for my hand and pushing it away from my bag "getting my money" he shakes his head "no, I asked you on the date so I'll pay" he says getting out and opening my door for me, we walk up to the front door and he opens that for me too "ladies first" and I walk inside "inside or outside golf?" He questions "inside" I say and he nods, I take my coat off and walk to the little lockers they have to keep your stuff in,and I hang my coat in it. I turn and Elijah's behind me taking off his coat and handing it to me "are you ready to get your ass whipped in golf?" He states walking beside me "you think your the king don't you?" he smiled and bite his lip "yeah, only all the time though" he says laughing and I shake my head "we'll see" I say taking my golf club and my ball from him, "you can go first" I say as we walk up to the first spot. He puts his ball down and steps back Angling the ball and the club, he finally goes to hit it but before he does he wiggles his butt and I laugh "hurry up grandpa" I state as he goes to hit it and he misses "damn it!! You did that purpose!" He says walking ahead of me as I set my ball down and hit it, it makes it in the first time and I laugh "ok mr king, whatever ices that burn you just got" I say as I walk past him.

We're at the last part of the corse and I'm winning by 8 points, if I hit this one in I'll win 28/20, I bend down and set my ball on the fake grass and angle my club "you know your a cheater right?" He says looking at me and I laugh "your just mad because your a loser" I say as I hit it and it goes in, I jump up and down clapping "HAHAHA" I say pointing at him and poking him in his chest "I win" I say sticking my tongue out at him "yeah yeah yeah, whatever" he says picking up our clubs and balls (lol balls😂) and taking them back to the counter, he came back with tokens for the arcade games "you get 100 and I get 100" he says handing me a cup of coins "win me something" he says pointing to the claw machine and I laugh "ok" I walk over and fiddle with the machine, 3 mins later I walk back to Elijah, I find him playing a racing simulator and I walk behind him and put his stuffed shark on his shoulder "wow" he says finishing the game and turning toward me "thank you, nobody's actually ever won anything for me" He says a red tint covering his face "no problem" I say as we start to walk to our table, he grabs my hand and intertwines our fingers together. "Thanks for coming tonight, I'd much rather spend it with you then out with my "friends" partying" he used his free hand to make air quotes around friends "aw, I feel loved" I say smiling at him as we sit down "so I'm thinking supreme pizza, stuffed crust, and?" He questions "a water" I say and he nods, and leaves to order our food I hear my phone buzz in my back pocket and I look to see who it was
Taz: how's it going?
Me: great, we're about to eat and then finish up with our tokens
Taz: are you gonna kiss him?
Me: if Mom and Gage are in the living room, no, i feel weird doing that
Taz: I kiss chase all the time when their around and it doesn't bother them
Me: I just wanna take things slow, and I don't want them watching me kiss him, that's too weird
Taz: K whatever have fun 😘

Elijah's POV:
I'm standing in line ordering pizza and I turn to look at her, she's on her phone obviously deep in thought not paying attention. I'm so glad she gave me this chance, she's not like any girl I've ever met before, she's sweet and charming, I turn around and the girl at the counter's looking at me "uh sorry, can I get a large supreme pizza with stuffed crust? And a water pitcher?" I say handing her my card as she tried to be as sexy as possible swiping my card "is that all?" She asks lowering her voice to sound "sexy" and I nod "yep" I say as I walk to the end of the counter waiting for my pizza, I turn again and I see Reese looking at me head resting on her hand, she smiles and waves with her free hand and I wave back, smiling "here ya go" the Dude hands me my food and I walk back to our booth and set down the food, I hand her a plate and put 2 pieces on it and pour her some water "thank you" she says picking up her drink and taking a sip "no problem" I say "so you see that big ass teddy bear over there? The dark brown one" I point to the huge bear on the wall and she nods "yeah? What about it?" She questions "I'm gonna win it for you" I say smiling and taking a bite of my pizza "I want you to get it on video so I can lavish in this moment later" I say laughing as she take a bite of pizza and all the toppings fall off "ok you do that" she says eyeing the bear.

An hour and 50 tokens later I finally get her bear, i grab the bear from the man and walk to her as she putting on Her coat "pssttt" I say and she turns jaw dropping at the bear in my hands "you actually got it!!" She says clapping her hands and taking the bear from me and hugging it "thank you so much" she says leaning in and kissing my cheek "I wanted to get something nice for you" I say grabbing her hand as we walk outside, we get in the car and hooking my phone to the Aux, i shuffle my music and the first song that comes on is

We pull up in front of her house and I turn down my music "I had fun tonight, thanks for asking me" she says turning to me, I nod "I glad you said yes" I say reaching over and grabbing her hand "thanks for the bear" she says looking back at it in the backseat "this is the first actual date I've ever been on" she says looking at me, I lean on and pores my lips to hers, closing my eyes and pulling her face closer to mine. She kisses me back, putting her hands on the back of my neck, she pulls away "I don't wanna be late, thanks again for tonight" she says grabbing her bear and her bag and walking inside.
