i walk to the living room with Nola on my hip, her head resting on my shoulder and her curls brushing my ear "hey, i'm home" i yell "in the sitting room" my mom yells and i walk to them Gage, Taz, my Mom, Jill, and Teddy. "hey i see miss Nola found you" jill says as she walks up to me and gives me a hug "we have so mucho catch up on" i whisper to her as i set Nola on the ground "i wanna sleep in your room" Nola says hugging my legs and looking up at me "but your mommy will be lonely" i say looking to jill who gives me the side eye "i'll be just fine" she says laughing "yayyy!" Nola yells as she runs up to my room "woww, way to put me under the bus i say as i walk up stairs. i get to my room and i see Nola standing in the hallway with Teddy "hey" he says as he walks past me and into his room next to mine, "i wanna have a tea party" Nola says tugging on my hand "well why don't we have one tomorrow after Santa comes" i say as i change into a long T shirt and shorts "lets go make Santa some cookies i say as i pick her up and walk back downstairs.
2 hours later we finally finished making cookies and Nola and Taz are having a spa night in my Mom and Gages bathroom, my mom, Gage and Teddy went to go get last minute stocking stuffers and Jill and I are laying on my bed "you want some wine?" Jill asks "uhh, mom and gage set a no drinking rule" i say standing next to her "yeah? well your not driving so here" she says handing me a glass and and pours some in "don't say i never did anything for you" she says laughing "so tell me about this guy you've been dating" she says leaning against the cabinet "his names Elijah, he's 21, he's in college right nw to become a Physical therapist, and honestly he's my dream guy" i say day dreaming "wow" i look to her confused "what? i ask "nothing, I've never heard you talk about a guy like that before" she says smiling "so show me a picture of this dream man" she says

"this is a picture of him this summer when we went to the beach" i say "hmmmmm" she says examining the picture "he's defiantly a hottie" she says laughing at me "do you love him?" she asks and i shrug "how do you know?, and besides it wouldn't matter anyways mom would lose her mind if i told him i loved him, they's forbid me from seeing him" i explain "whys that? i was your age when i met Kai! he was 23 and i was 17" she says "yeah, and i also remember mom trying to beat him with a frying pan!" i say and we laugh "you do know its ok to love him right?" she says and i nod "as long as her treats you with respect i don't see what the problem is" she says "yeah, well your dad's a lot nicer then my dad was" i say looking at her "my dad is as old as the sun and the moon" she says taking a sip of her wine "i think my doesn't want me to get caught up into anything too serious with Elijah in case he does break my heart" i say being honest "life is about mistakes, and if he is one then let it be just that, a mistake and learn from it! then move on!" she says and i nod my head sipping my wine "i just wish they'd try to get to know him, i feel like they'd see him from a completely different point of view" i explain "they haven't met him?" i shake my head "they've met him like once or twice but they didn't actually talk to him, they just ask basics and go on with their lives" i say and we here the front door open "party over kid! hurry drink!" she says as i tilt the glass all the way back "take it to the head' she says laughing and taking my glass from me as i wipe my mouth and turn to the kitchen door. Teddy's the first to walk in with his hands full with CVS bags and he stops in his tracks "what?" he says looking at Jill and I suspiciously"nothing, need some help?" i ask walking to him and taking bags out of his hands.
It's 8:30 Am Christmas morning and i wake to Nola jumping in my bed "wake up wake up wake up wake up" she yells shaking me "STOP" i yell pulling my pillow over my head then i feel the bed dip down and feel two people jumping on my bed "WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP" i recognize the voice, teddy decided to join Nola in her little game, so i grab my pillow and start to hit both of them they laugh and throw themselves down beside me Nola on my right and Teddy on my left "Merry Christmas" teddy says laughing at me "yeah yeah bah humbug" i say and then Nola pipes in "i hope you get a sack of coal" she says as she attempts to pull me out of bed "can i at least wash my ass and brush my teeth?" i question "ouuuu, i, gonna tell! you said a bad word" and i ok "ok ya little shit, go tell, thats why i got you a giant lump of coal for Christmas" i say jumping out of bed and chasing her outta my room "i'm going wash my ass, good day sir" i say to teddy as i grab my change of cloths and head to the shower
Almost 50 presents later and a room full of wrapping paper Nola is swimming in presents setting up the kitchen table for a tea party
Elijah: Merry Christmas babe, and happy one month :P
Me: Merry Christmas! i thought you said you didn't celebrate anniversaries until they make it past the 6 month mark?
Elijah: yeah yeah i know what i said, i just wanted to remind you what day it is since your so forget full ;P
Me: WHATEVER, i'm going have a tea party
Elijah: have fun<3
