I sat in my dark apartment on this big green couch that has a big chocolate stain on it, hiding underneath a colorful woolen blanket. I couldn't keep track of all of the thoughts racing through my head. How is it possible that there could be another woman in New York, or the world for that matter, who looked exactly like me? Why did she send in all of those people? I would have asked myself more of those unanswerable questions when I suddenly heard a voice behind me.
"Look, Juliet, I know you're freaked, but, we are sisters! I was just so excited to meet you!"
I jumped off of the couch, my blanket flying onto the workbench in the corner.
"Sisters?" I cried incredulously. "I don't have a sister!"
"Well, judging from the fact that we have identical faces, I believe that we are." Janet walked over and sat down on the couch next to me. I edged away.
"Fine. If you are my sister, I have a few questions for you. First of all, what was the purpose of those weird girls with masks of my face? Also, why did you say 'I am here to spice up your life'? And how do I know that you aren't some serial killer or identity thief and you're just going to kill me now? And how did you get into my apartment?"
"Ok, I'll answer your questions in order. First, to get your attention and show you how cool I am. Second, that's what I'm going to do. Face it, you're boring. I'm going to make you awesome! Oh, and I am your sister. We were just adopted by different people! Just saying, my foster parents sucked."
"Fine. I believe you. So, HOW DID YOU GET INTO MY APARTMENT!"
"Oh, I climbed up the fire escape. You really should lock your windows." She smirked. I sighed and put my feet up onto my coffee table.
"What do you want from me?"
" I'm going to help you achieve your lifelong dream of becoming famous!"
"Really?"
"Of course, that's what a sister is for!"
