Abalone's P.O.V

I stormed into the casting room. Carol followed me to the table. "How's the work going for stunt doubles?" I asked her as she handed me the charts.

"Good. We've found five prime candidates that need your review. We also have the characters lined up for the male lead."

I sighed looking through all the paper work. "Alright. Let them in, in about an hour." I said sitting back and sorting through the charts.

She paused for a minute to study me than walked out. I knew that Carol could sense their was something work with me, we'd done multiple projects together and I loved working with her. But I always prided myself on keeping my personal life quiet.

I read carefully over every chart and selected two stunt doubles. Once I decided on them I meet with Carol and she agreed than called them. When she finished that she sent in the actors for the male lead. There were a few charming ones and those who pretended to be big fans of my work. I narrowed it down to three actors. Tomorrow I would have to call Avery and have her preform with them to see who matched her best.

I sighed as I finished up my work for today and told Carol to continue her search for the remaining characters. I walked out the back into the parking lot, dailing Avery's number. I should just set everything up now and have her come in tomorrow, I thought. Would she be mad at me still? I frowned. Why did I care?

"Hello?" She answered.

"Hey, it's Abalone. I've found three choices for the male lead and I was wondering if you could stop by tomorrow and work with them to find the best one?"

I waited a beat and then she responded. "Sure. Is that all?" She sounded angry.

"Yup." I said quickly.

"Alright." She hung up. I rolled my eyes and texted Dawn to see if she wanted to have dinner. She replied and wondered if it'd be alright to bring Jess. I told her sure and said I'm bring Ryan as well so it wouldn't be completely awkward for me.

I drove back home and parked in the appartment complex parking lot. I called my mom after shutting of the engine. Her voice mail answered. "Hey, mom. Can't wait to see you and dad. I'm going out to dinner with Dawn, Jess, and Ryan. Aunt Sue and Uncle Dave should stop by and see how well my production is going. I think after this movie is done we should all take a trip to visit grandpa. Anyway, I love you mom. Tell dad the same." I hung up and headed up to my place.

When I opened the door I was greeted by silence. My guess was Jess probably buying some clothes for her date later. Instead of checking the mail or dealing with anything else I headed up to the shower.

As I got in I remembered Jackson yelling at me that day in the hospital. Everything was still fuzzy. The whole acidient. The death, and of course my despair. I sat at the bottom of the tub and rested my head on my knees. "Michelle." I whimpered.

>>Later that Evening<<

Dawn had just arrived and Jess was wearing cut off jeans with a baggy shirt and some boots while Dawn wore a dress. I smiled at those two, they were cute. Ryan knocked on the door and I let him in.

"Seriously though, you two are too hot to be lesbians." Ryan kept insisting on the way to dinner.

"You won't be able to convert us, Ryan." Jess laughed.

"All I need is one night with you two." He pleaded.

I punched him in the arm. "That's my cousin, asshole."

Dawn smiled at me while I shook my head. I drove into Rocket Joe's lot and left the car by the enterance. The others followed me inside. I addressed the host for a table and she led us to a booth in the back.
