Hey everyone! Sorry I took so long to upload, but I've been busy with school work! I'm taking college classes while I'm in high school so it's really difficult for me to find spare time. Anyhow, enjoy!!
Abalone’s P.O.V
“Hey, Jess.” I said throwing my keys into the key dish on the table by the condo door.
“Hi.” She said with an eager smile.
“If I didn’t know better someone either had a date or has gotten laid!” I chimed walking over to her and kissing her cheek.
“Nah, I have a date.” She laughed.
“Oh, what’s her name?” I asked casually as I walked over to the fridge. I found out Jess was gay when we were in middle school. She’s always been my best friend because she was the only down-to-earth person I’ve known besides Ryan. I meet Ryan in junior year of high school.
“Her names Dawn.” I paused for a moment, rigidly.
“Dawn? As in Dawn Beck?” I asked tensed.
She nodded. “Yeah, you know her?” She asked slipping on a pair of skinny jeans.
“Yeah, she’s my cousin.” I said.
Jess eyes widened. “You didn’t know she was gay?” She guessed.
“No.” I shook my head. “I thought we told each other everything.” I said distantly.
Jess walked over to me and frowned, patting my shoulder. “Sometimes it’s harder to come out to family members.” Jess explained. She frowned for a moment. “Why didn’t I meet her before?”
I shook my head dazed. “Because Dawn lives in the country side of California and there was a situation with my grandmother on my father’s that prevented her from traveling for a while.” I explained. I heard someone knock on the door.
“I think that’s her.” Jess sighed. “Should I get it?”
I shook my head, shoving my hair back. “No, I will.” I walked over to the door nervously. I didn’t know what to say, I mean, I knew uncle Brain was guy, but Dawn? I chucked the door open.
“Hey-” Dawn cut off once she saw me.
“Hey, Dawn. I’m Jess’ roommate.” I gave her a sad smile.
She looked afraid for a moment. “Look, I can explain.”
I shook my head. “No, need. I accept you no matter what.” I said calmly.
Her eyes began to water. “Really?”
“Of course, Dawn. I love you no matter what.” I reassured her.
She hugged me tightly. “I’m bisexual, if you’re curious.’ She mumbled once I let her go.
I laughed. “Good to know because Ryan was still hoping he had a shot.” I joked.
She laughed. “Hey!” Jess walked in. I left them alone and headed back to my bedroom. At least someone was happy.

In the morning I went down to my father’s modern pictures company. I had started producing films while I was still in high school, but today I was going to direct my first movie. I felt a bit nervous heading on to set. Today we were hiring actors and I needed to make the selections perfect to my script.
