Hiccup Gets the Hiccups

"Good morning Dragons Edge! It's Ruff, and Tuff, and Chicken, (squak!) In the morning!"

Not again...

I slowly opened my eyes and sat up. I was HOPING to sleep in today because I was up late last night tinkering with Dragon Fly 3. I had some great ideas come to me last night and I just had to work on it right away. I heard an annoyed growl underneath me. I looked down from my loft and saw Toothless lift his head from his rock slab he slept on, and glare angrily at the window.

"I know Bud..." I said with a sigh.

"Will you two be quiet!" I heard an angry voice (which was undoubtedly Snotlout) yell. "I need my beauty rest!"

I laughed to myself as I tied my prosthetic to my left leg and stood up. I quickly changed into my everyday clothes, put on my armor, and headed out the door with Toothless following sluggishly behind me.

I figured everyone was congregated at the clubhouse by now, so I mounted Toothless and headed there.

When I arrived I saw everyone sitting at the table in the center of the room. Snotlout was still yelling at the twins, Fishlegs was quietly eating his breakfast as he watched Snotlout and the twins conversation, and Astrid was quickly eating her breakfast so she could get started on training.

"Morning gang!" I said as I walked in.

"Morning Hiccup!" Fishlegs said as he waved at me.

"Hello dear Hiccup!" Tuff said dramatically. "And how are you this fine morning!"

"I could be more rested." I said, giving the twins an annoyed look.

"Morning Hiccup..." Astrid said.

I smiled at her and got some yak chops and a glass of water. I walked back over to where they were all sitting and sat down next to Astrid.

"And then the duck said, 'Got any grapes'!" Tuff said as he told his joke.

We were all laughing at it when all of a sudden...

"*Hiccup*!"

"Um... Hiccup?" Astrid said, as she and all the others looked at me. "You ok?"

"Yeah I'm fi- *hiccup* -ne..." I said.

"No way..." Snotlout said, looking at me with an amused look on his face.

"Oh great..." I said as I rested my chin on my hand.

"Hiccup has the hiccups!" Snotlout said as he and the twins burst into laughter.

"Ye- *hiccup* -ah, yeah..." I said. "Laugh it up!"

I looked to my right and saw Fishlegs and Astrid grinning amusingly at me.

"Y- *hiccup* -ou too!?" I said.

"Come on Hiccup, you've gotta admit... It's pretty funny." Astrid said as she crossed her arms, still grinning.

I sighed as I hiccuped once again.

"Well can you guys at least help me get rid of them?" I said.

"Yeah! I have a book that has all sorts of information about how to get rid of the hiccups!" Fishlegs said as he got up and walked out the door with Meatlug.

"It's not that bad! You just need to hang upsidedown for a few minutes..." Fishlegs said.
