A Step Ahead

        "Oh my gosh Noah are you okay?." Grace asks running over to me." Y-yeah I am fine. Thanks for scaring the living crap out of me Grace." I say to her laughing a bit. Grace smiles and nods holding out her hand to help me up. Smilimg I took her hand and got up to my feet dusting myself off. "Noah your such a kluts man." Says Ethan. Suddenly my face gets red and I look at the ground. How could I forget he was here. Ethan smiles at me then looks at Grace." So is it almost club time Grace." He asks looking at her." You bet you sweet butt it is." She said smiling. " I will go grab the posters will you guys finish setting up the room please?" Ethan nods and Grace smiles and walks to a closet behind the podium. I started to set up the chairs as I started to feel dagger like eyes on me. I turn around to see Ethan looking at me with a smile on his face. I stand still with beat red cheeks. Ethan walks closer to me as I try to back away my knees buckle and I fall on the chair. When I look up he is standing over me his face just a few inches from mine. Just as he leans in a bit closer people start walking in causing him to back away. Grace comes out from getting the posters and sets them up then comes over to Ethan and I. "Great job you guys. Come on get ready its almost time." She says with a smile pulling us to the front. Just as every club member is seated and in the building Ethan stands up and walks to the podium and smiles at everyone." Good afternoon everyone. May we please welcome the President of our club Grace." He says as everyone claps and cheers as Grace walks up.“ Thank you Ethan. Welcome fellow club members I am glad to see old and new members here with us today. There is a few things we mjst discuss today for this school year. The principle told me before school this morning that, if we cannot raise more than 2,000 dollars this year he will cancel our music program." Everyone began to moan and groan, some ever started booing and even started to say F*** the principal. Grace just smiled and held up her hand silencing the whole club. "I understand we are all upset but we jave to think about our club first. So do any of you have some suggestion for what we can do to save our program?" She asks waiting for someone to respond. No one said any thing then a girl stood up. "We could become music tutors and have them pay 20 dollars every month." She suggests. A guy stands up and smiles. "We could do a fundraiser and sell candy, baked goods, food plates, and drinks." He said Grace smiles and says." I love all of your ideas but we need something more."

        I look around and stand up. Grace smiles giving me the okay to speak." How about we combined everyone's ideas together we can do music practice everyone can learn how to play any instrument and sing, then we can also have the ones that don't wish to sing to run a consesion stand. Then the fundraiser should be a show case and by the ends of this school year would should raise way more than the amount we have to reach." I say as  look at Grace smileing at me, suddenly I  hear someone clapping which is followed by a familiar voice coming from the back of the shack." Noah that is an amazing idea, President Grace what do you think?" He asks walking up to the front standing right next to me. " I think we can do it so everyone same time tomorrow in the back of the room is a club sign in sheet please do not forget to sign it." She says as everyone starts to walk out doing as she ask.
 
        As I the last few people leave I walk to the back and put my name on the sogn up sheet. Right when I finish writing my name Grace tackles me from behind. "Noah you are so freaking smart this is why I love you." She says laughing causing me to to turn red a little. Then I feel a large warm hand on my shoulder." Nice job Noah." Ethan says. His voice sending shivers down my spine. He removes his hand off my shoulder and Grace releases me from her hug. I take a deep breath and turn around to smile at them." Thanks you two. I am just the new guys but it seems like a good idea. We can do two concerts one before the winter break and one before the school year ends. What do you two think." I say, they both just blink at amd then embrace me in a hug. My cheeks turn red as I they both hug me. After a few seconds they break the hug and look at me with a big smile on their face. Grace looks at me then gasps" Noah you have to sing in the concerts." She says. Looking at me. I blush then start to look at the ground." I-am not that good though Grace." I say softly. She suddenly grads my hands and looks at me with puppy dog eyes. "Please Noah you have and amazing voice." She says. Looking at her i sigh and smile. "Fine I will do iy for the club and for you my friend." I say with a smile. Grace smiles and hugs me again. "Noah you really are the best friend a girl could ever ask for. If need any vocal warm up I am pretty sure Ethan can help." She says and hugs us both and starts to walk away “I am heading out you guys. Noah is your mom getting you or do you want to come over?" She asks me. Just as I start to speak Ethan puts his hand on my shoulder and smiles at her." I will take him home Grace. Plus i need to see what this kid's voice sounds like for myself." He says to her with a smile. She looks at me and smiles back." Okay later you guys don't forget to lock up before you leave." She says waving at us while she walks out the door.

        After Grace left it takes me a minute or two to realize that I was alone with Ethan and what he told me is still fresh in my mind. He looks at me and smiles." You know it is going to be really hard for me to tell Grace I like you. She seems to have a crush on you as well." He says to me then atarts to clean up a bit. I help him out as I grab the sign-in and sign-up sheets. I look over at Ethan and I feel my lips curl into a smile." Ummm Ethan why did you offer to take me home?" I ask him as I walk to the podium to place the papers on it." He looks at me with that heart dropping smile." That is simple I really do what to know how you sound cause I may end up asking you if we can do a duet together." He says responding to my question. I guess i didn't even notice I was smiling cause while we were putting up the last bit of chairs and throwing away trash. He laughs a bit and smiles. You seem to like the idea of me listening to you sing." He says. I smiles at him and nod." Good then shall we go nack to my place so we can practice there? He asks bluntly as he took out the last bit of trash. "S-sure." I say to him softly blushing. I am honestly nervous about going to his house. What if something happens? Just as we finish we look yo make sure we got eveything. Happy with our outcome we walk out and lock the door behind us.
        Walking to the front of the school I spot a nice datk gray car. We walk up to it and my mouth is open so wide a fly vould enter my mouth and I wouldn't care. “Ethan this car look so freaking sweet." I say as we get into the car. "Thanks. I graduate next year, so this car and my licenses is an early graduation present from my parents." He tells me as he turns on the car and  we begin to drive. Driving to his house we are both quiet neither one of us said a word till he turned down a familiar street then past my street turn down the next street. "Wow I didn't know you lived so close to me." I say softly. He smiles and pulls up to his empty driveway and parks his car. After he turns off the car we both unbuckle and get put for the car an start walking to his front door while he gets his key.

      Getting to the door he unlocks it and we both walk in I stand in at the door entrance admiring everything till he grabbed my hand." Come on my room is right down this hall." He says as we walk down the hall to his bed room door. He opens the door and  I look in to his room and he had everything I had maybe a bit more. He walked in to his room an lays on his bed with stomach facing the ceiling. Looking over at me at pats and empty spot next to him. Taking it as invitation I walk in his room and sit right next to him. He looks at me and smiles again just causing my heart to melt.
 
        “So what can you sing?" he asks sitting up and looks at me." Anything really I'm not very picky." I tell to him as I fiddle with my thumbs. Smiling he reaches over to a notebook on his desk and flips it over to a list of songs he has written down." Here choose a song from tgis list I will accompany your vocals with my guitar." He says handing me the notebook. Taking it I look at the list. "This one." I say pointing at the song Hold on Till May by: Pierce the Veil. "Okay." Ethan says getting up to get his guitar, then sits back on the bed next me." Do you need the lyrics pulled up?" He asks with a smile. Shaking my no he smiles and starts to strum his guitar and I start to sing.      
 
        Singing I shut my eyes just listening to the guitar. After finishing the song. I open my eyes amd look over at Ethan. His cheeks just as red as mine probably are and the moment. He places his guitar back on its stand and I just smile at him. "How was th...?” Before finishing my sentence Ethan puts his lips to mine. Then breaks the kiss smiling. Looking at him I touch my lips my cheeks so red I swear my cheeks are on fire. Ethan looks me, his smile made me feel warm inside. "What is this feeling?"I say in my head. "I am sorry Noah." Ethan says looking into my eyes. "N-no its okay." I say my cheeks a dark crimson red color. "May I kiss you again?" He asks. Nodding I give hime the okay. Smiling he leans in to kiss me again. This time he lays me down on his bed him leaning over me. He places his hand by the stiching at the bottom of my shirt. Nodding I give him my okay and I lean up to kiss him again his soft lips kissing me back. As we kiss he slides his hands up my shirt. My small body twitches under his rough hands on my sides. I feel his tounge slide into my mouth our tounges begin to dance around each other. Kissing me from my lips to my neck he then starts to nibble at my neck causing noises I never thought existed come out of my mouth. Just when I thought my body couldn't take any more pleasure he slides his free hand over my jeans and gently starts to fondle me." E-Ethan." I man softly as if where Ethan is fondling wanted him to actually go into my pants.
