A Step Ahead

Ethan's P.O.V

(Before Ethan's house)

       As Noah walks away from me and Grace. I couldn't help but notice how she was looking at him. "You like him don't you Grace?" I ask. She looks up at me her cheeks as red as cherry tomatoes. "H-how can you tell?" She responds looking at me with a confuse look on her face. "Let's just say I have a gift. Why don't you tell him how you feel?" I suggest to her. Shaking her head she smiles. "No I would not want to risk the friendship we have. He has been my best friend since we were both in dipers. One day I will tell him how I feel but for now let's keep this berween you and me." She says with a smile on her face then walks off to her class. I put my hands into my pocket and starts to walk when out of no where I am tackled by a blonde cheerleader. "Ethan baby I missed you so much. I have not seen you since last night." The girl says with a wink as she tries to put her hands down my pants.  Removing her hand from my mid-section I look at her and sigh. "Geez Elizabeth we are on school grounds can you at least try to act like my girlfriend instead of a sex whore." I say gently moving her off me so I can stand up and dust myself off. She just jumps up and giggles. "I am only a whore for you Ethy-poo." She laughs." As if Liz you are the whore of the school even the nerds have you on speed dial when they need a good blow job." I say walking to my class. Liz skips up next to me and pouts. "Why are you being so mean to me. No one else needs to know my business." She says pouting all the way to class. " I am sorry you are right Lizzy-kins (kill me now)." I say to her with a fake smile as I walk into class.

As the day drags on I catch myself looking at the hand I extended out to Noah. Ever so often his face comes to mind, but right after Noah's face comes Grace's face. "No I can't hurt Grace like that. She has become one of my dear friends." I say to myself in my mind. Shaking off the feeling I carry on through my day. Just as the school day comes to an end and the final bell rings I walk out of class just to be tackled again." Elizabeth seriously this needs to stop." I yell. Liz looks at me with hurt eyes." I am sorry its just warn a guy Liz." I say getting up and dusting off then I lend her a hand. Right before she takes my hand I quickly switch hands and sigh in relief. She takes my hand looking at me in confusion. "Why did you switch hands?" She questions. With a quick response I say." My favorite singer gave me a high five on this hand." I lie with a smile. She smiles back and dusts herself off. "So do you have music club today?" She asks hoping I would say no. "You bet Grace has some important things she wants to dicuss with the group." I say with a smile then hugs Liz walking my way to the rigidity old shack.

   Arriving at the club shack I pull out my keys and unlock the door. Being the first one gives me sometime to think to myself. I start putting out the chairs and setting up the sign -in and Sign-up papers. Just as I am abput to grab the welcome signs I hear a soft feminine like voice. I hide by a wall to take a peek at who had just came in. To my suprise the feminine like voice was Noah. Shaking my head I start to clap." Hey Noah you're the first on here congratulations." I say to him with a smile. He stands in the same spot for what seems like a minute or two." Noah" I yell softly getting him back to reality. "Y-yes Ethan." He says sweetly. Smiling look at him just for a moment and ask." Do you and Grace like each other?" Then I sit in a chair close to the edge. Sitting next to me he just laughs." No Grace and I are just best friends. She is like a sister to me so it would be kind of weird if I were to jave feelings for her." He says bluntly then looks at the floor." Good then you wont mind if i say this , but I think I am starting to like you." I say to him with a smile.

 As soon as I say that his cheeks turned a pink color. "To think I would start to like some one of the same gender." I say in my head. He continues to lool at me with a shocked yet confuse look." You seem to be confused?" I say as I start to lean closer to him her leans back. His cheeks continue to rapidly change color. Our faces where so close together. Then Grace comes in to the club announcing she had just got here scaring Noah in the process making me laugh.
 
If only I could of kissed him....
