LUCID DREAMER: Night of The Plague

I suck in a sum of air and enter the bus, a warm cup of coffee in my hand to get rid of the chills. He has already made his place, nodding his head to the music. 

I finally breath out and  slowing  walk towards him. He gives me a short glace and takes his attention back to the music.  Before I can have a second to regret, I take the seat next to him. He's slightly baffled. I analyse rings under his eyes..  tired eyes...

"Hi" I stutter.

Silence hangs in the air as I drown in embarrassment. This isn't going to end well.

"Venus, you're back so so quickly-"

"KEEGAN! KEEGAN!!"    I scream. My lungs  feel like their literally collapsing at this point. 

I turn around to see Lilac running towards me with a clump of cotton candy in her hand. I grab her shoulders and shake them hysterically.

"Were is Keegan!" 

"I'm sorry, he's not here. He might have.. He reached the stage, " I feel my body weakening, the pain erupting in my heart.She pulls down my hands and pulls me into a tight hug and I feel the tears fall freely as she caresses me. I begin to sob heavily as Lilac tries  calm me down.

"I saw him in the real world," I mutter " He looked worse than he's ever been,"

"It's okay... I..It's okay." I can sense the fear in Lilac's voice, she 's scared too. I pull her back and look at her but my eyes quickly land on our surroundings.

We are at an abandoned  theme park and the rides seem like they could collapse in seconds. I look up to see a large chunk of the Ferris wheel missing  and I'm about to pull Lilac away when she says-

"Don't worry its my dream. " She confirms this by clapping her hands and the rides come to life. I stare curiously as the giant Ferris wheel begins spinning, creaking and scraping another  ride that it was too close to.

"Do you want to go?" 

"What? No!"

 I stare calmly at the sunset as it falls. "You don't have control of this dream. Its falling apart, we are falling apart. When this all started, we were excited to create worlds and drift into other peoples minds. Now...Now we are barely making it out."

The different purples shades filled the skies and the world if filled with a nostalgic haze. Lalic looks at me, and giggles.

"Literally can't believe you're bold." I give her a weary smile and look back at the sunset.

"We look like freaks from the apocalypse. Crazy isn't it." I muster.

We sit for a while. I don't want to tell her how bored I am right now, I know she knows though. She probably shouldn't try anything stupid- but a second later I find her going to the roller-costar.

"Come!" she beckons," You're going to die anyway. You might ass well do something you've never done!"

Not convincing  but I feel like that statements good enough. I get up and dust up my hospital pants when I hear  a creaking behind me.

I look back quickly and there's nothing. I mean... its probably nothing to worry about.

I take another step into Lilacs direction and the creaking becomes louder.  I slowly look back and see the giant Ferris wheel is morphing into some kind of robotic Ferris monster and its absorbing the rides next to it.

"VENUS! RUN!"

I start sprinting towards Lilac but a large metal hand grabs my leg and yanks be back. It begins to drag be back  and I try to dig my fingers into the ground. I can sort of see Lilac's silhouette through the dust lifting as the monster continues to drag me. Is she just standing there? This is not happening.

My fingers are aching at this point so I lose the grip and shift my body round to face the monster.

"Holy shit," is all I can muster. Saying it's huge would be a complete understatement at this point.  This is worse than anything I've seen in my life! This is terrifying!

Panic strikes in and I start my pathetic attempts to set my body free. Using my free leg I start trying to kick the metal hand off but the pain of kicking the sharp and rusty edges overpowers my urge to kick again. I groan and try pulling it off, which shockingly is more successful because the mental is so rusty and old. I keep breaking off more pieces and I'm almost near freedom when another arm, which is much stronger grabs my other leg. This is hopeless.

As the monster keeps dragging me around I look for anything to hold. I open my arms  to feel my surroundings but there is nothing to hold onto. Nothing except dry grass and soil.  Suddenly I feel my body being yanked into the air everything becomes so slow maybe because I scared shitless right now.

Its arms let go of me and  all I can feel is the cold breeze hitting me as I drift in mid air. For a moment, its actually peaceful, I've never been up this high and the sunset that has deepened into a mush of crimson and dark purple mesmerizes me. Suddenly gravity began to take its toll and my body began to fall back down. 

My line of vision falls back to the monster and realized I was falling right into its mouth. It roars and grease and other large particles are fling in my way.

I is this how it all ends? Was this how I was going to die?
